Thoughts After Reading UVA Message Board

1) It was mentioned yesterday, but THANK YOU to the people of SPS for having a platform with good organization and ease of use.
2) SPS-ers may *****, whine, and moan about alot of things, but it's seemingly never trash talking a player, or flat out calling them a P***y. Good on all y'all for that.
3) UVA was my 2nd favorite team, but after scanning through 40 some-odd pages of their message board, I have nothing for that school. I hope our fans in Omaha have/had a different experience with their fans onsite.

I looked at the board last night (and got a headache from the format). I thought a lot of them were complimentary of us for battling back.

I tried scrolling through it on my phone and expeditiously stopped. Work is slow, so I was perusing on the computer and got alot further. Multiple threads about Lemonis' weight and that he sounds/looks like Orgeron, fan's "hoggish" appearance, few other things one wouldn't come across on here. Expressing my appreciation to the group.
Majority of it was in-line with pregame and early innings

My opinion of that bunch is they are cut from the same cloth as our neighbors to the northwest.

That's my opinion as well. We would have much more common ground with Va Tech.

One difference though vs our rival, Virginia is actually an outstanding school.

UVA folks behind us were loud all night. Not obnoxious - just loud and enjoying the no hitter and 4 run lead. I’d have been the same.

But… they were PISSED by the end. I mean, ready to throw blows. Yelled something about us not knowing how to win with class. It was glorious

They said the same thing when we ran them out of their own super regional in 2013. We were the worst visiting fans ever...blah blah blah...

They didn't like our cheers, we were too loud, didn't respect the opponent...

They absolutely are except they have a lot more reason to act like that. It actually IS an elite school.

We didn’t really have any around us. Idk how you expect fans to golf clap after those two innings. Sounds like sour grapes. To be fair if State lost a game like that I would be devastated.

That's my opinion as well. We would have much more common ground with Va Tech.

but their fanbase as been Fd up since the mid-80s. like TSUNs.

My opinion is they have an Ivy League arrogance about them. This proves it so.

I have a different take, maybe because I have family that graduated from there and I spend a lot of time in that area, but they're good fans. You can't judge them based on a message board.

They were very hospitable when State played in Charlottesville a few years back.

In my job I know a lot of folks in Virginia and the VT folks opinion of UV is a lot like our opinion of Ole Miss.

UVA is definitely the Ole Miss in the UVA/VT rivalry. Although, they are leaps and bounds ahead of OM from an academic standpoint and quality of their other sports teams.
