regroup, get the facilities in order, hire a real coach, get some of the stench off the program and reboot. Unfortunately, we have to send out lambs to slaughter.

Can we take the Rutgers logos off the uniforms? That would help a little.

Eddie Jordan was an NBA coach. He is a real coach, he might not be a great coach for Rutgers, but he is not the problem. Facilities, Rice and Hill have set the program so far back that no coach can recover it short term. Let Eddie do his thing for several years. Rutgers will not get anyone better in the short term until facilities improve. Consider the RAC capacity vs. average attendence for all other Big 10 universities.

EddieJordan is a horrible college coach. Horrible. I don't care what did in the pros. This ain't the NBA.

You don't need a practice court to play as a team with fundamentals. Forget the record. This is a very poorly coached team across the board. They do nothing well. Can barely string together passes without something going wrong.

No offensive or defensive philosophy, no fundamentals whatsoever.

I hope he cares enough to just resign. Let a hungrier, better suited to college coach take over. It can't be worse.

The program despite all of its shortcomings still makes $$$. No way RU shuts it down. I'm hoping that Hobbs invests in the program, which is something that none of his predecessors did.

I'd like to see those financials. Some fuzzy math to have this program turning a profit. Tix are dirt cheap, donations can't be good and games are scarcely attended.

OK, I get it, but the next guy won't do any better until facilities are improved. I like the RAC, but compare the practice facilities and arena at Rutgers to other Big 10 universities.

Disagree. Jordan is horrible. Any real college coach would have this team at least resembling a team.

A young Shaka Smart or the like would have this team competing. Jordan can't do it. He sucks, bad.

Ha, no drugs, but I have had a few adult beverages. My point is that post-Rice and post-Hill, NO coach could be successful here. Eddie is not successful, no surprise. However, if he is fired the next coach will not be successful either because of the insurmountable disadvantages Rutgers has compared to the rest of the Big 10 ... and then you guys will be calling for him to be fired too. Let's fix the facilities and program, and then get a new coach

At this point you have to hire a guy who the plasyers want to play for not the school. This is too far deep.

A good coach would have the team playing better and competing much harder. The facilitards act like the floor they practice on is riddled with glass and they have to travel in a school bus to away games.

The team is worse than the facilities. Eddie could have Kentucky facilities and the team would still be horrible.

At this point, successful is not winning games.
It is looking like you have a clue on offense and defense, and not losing in EMBARRASSING fashion.

I wouldn't care if we had a team of 12 walkons.
They need to be taught fundamentals and execute what they have been taught.

I understand facilities are an issue, but do we have to stick with a coach who is subjecting the program to 35-point home losses to fellow cellar-dwellers? I mean is there just no bar for how bad he is allowed to be since the facilities aren't in place?

I have often wondered if we just shut down the program could we hire better football assistants and give some money to the olympic sports for a few years?

Do you feel there is some sort of deal, or a source of revenue that is now available for football and now basketball to make significant investment to bball? From staff to program to infrastructure? (Maybe this coincides with the state money/credit that comes in. You don't pass a law like that without having the other pieces in place.)

We are losing to teams with worse facilities. The facility argument is a crutch for poor coaching, recruiting, and ultimately, performance.

Like how he has decided putting facilities under bleachers
is not his idea of the direction his headed for.

How many years does everyone think the program will be shut down by the time RU puts in the money to support it .
I think shutting down the program until its properly funded will see the youngest of us having their grandchildren asking them if Rutgers ever had a men's basketball program [laughing]
