C - Jack/Lewis/Doorson vs. Lewis/Doorson/Diallo. Advantage 2014-2015. Don't kid yourself. Here's hoping Lewis keeps picking up his game like he has every year so far.

PF - Etou/Foreman vs. Freeman / More experienced Foreman ... advantage 2015-2016, but it's close when playing to potential.

SF
- Let's be honest, we had nobody who could truly play the 3 last year. They were either undersized 4s, or 2s. Advantage 2015-2016.

SG
- Daniels/Williams vs. a more experienced Daniels/Williams + Goode + R. Johnson minutes. Easily 2015-2016 wins this one.

PG
- Essentially Mack vs. Sanders. Out of respect for all Mack's done and Sanders' potential, I'm giving it a push. I really just don't want to argue this one. It'll be nice that Sanders is a little bigger of a guard.

Overall - Advantage 2015-2016. By a lot. Thank god. Now let's just hope it plays out that way and we're competitive each game.

This might be the perfect team to take on an offseason trip overseas to let them work together and gain much needed experience. I haven't heard anything regarding any overseas trips in a while from Rutgers.

What is missing in your analysis is whether the current players on the roster are able to improve in the off season. We saw a lot of improvement last year form Lewis and I think the key will be how hard the players work and who takes a step forward next year.

I mentioned Lewis improving and the rest of the guys coming back more experienced. What did I miss?

Fair enough. I think a long way to where we are next year is going to be contributions of the freshman and the off season improvements of last years roster.

It cannot be understated that the biggest difference this year will be the depth. Walkons were getting significant minutes this past season because we didn't have the bodies. Next season, for example, if our shooting guard can't shoot or is out of control turning the ball over we are not forced to stick with him we can just go to the next guy on the bench and give him the opportunity.

I believe it has been several years since our team took a summer trip. It could be a very significant step.
