The bottom of the old big east was soft but the top was much deeper. most of the years in the old big east we beat up on the bottom of the conference and won maybe 1 or 2 games against the top when we made the tourney. In the big 12 we have been entertaining thoughts of confernce championships for the last 3 years. It never happened in the old Big east. The talent level of our team really hasn't changed that much its just the competation is weaker. I would'nt put much stock into huggins saying the big 12 is tougher top to bottom. Our team plays in the Big 12 its in his best interest to prop up the conference. If we played in the sec he would say the same. The big 12 may put more players in the NBA but the guys who aren't NBA players are weaker than old big east players.</p></blockquote><p></p>
