Year one we wouldn’t have beaten Cincinnati.

It was an absolute miracle we beat Cincinnati.

A dropped pick six.

A strip sack-fumble that somehow got back to Dylan.

Cincy not using their QB as a running weapon until the end of the game.

Pick on the final drive which was otherwise absolutely headed to the endzone for the game winner.

Yes, I know, "if my aunt had nuts....." I'm just saying the signs have been there since week 0.

There is no question what we seen defensively without Hartzog has the same issues in game one as game 12.

Not strong enough up front and Lbers that over pursue and can’t make tackles and no one is accountable when there is a QB draw.

A recipe for disaster against Iowa.

Should be a low scoring, boring a*s game decided by Iowa sticking to their constant game plan each week. Everything they learned from the NU v. UCLA, and now the PSU game will be in their plan.
Slow down EJ, bring pressure causing us to leave the TE's in to block, force TJ to roll out and try to find receivers that aren't open, wait for us to make a mistake.
I'll give the edge to the Hawkeyes again.

I think Iowa puts up at least 28 on us. IF I had to pick a score I’ll go 31-24 bad guys.😕. 24 from TJ is probably too generous.

We're showing progress, we're in bowls for back to back years. Now if Rhule can get some dudes in the portal it won't matter if we have terrible recruiting rankings for 26. He also needs to have a talk with a lot of guys on the team and make room. Hopefully we can get 15-20 proven portal guys and jettison some dead weight and look to be competitive next year.

Similar to my keys to trying to win at PSU.
(Turnovers were no factor). (At PSU I felt we needed to take the crowd out of the game, and we didn't).

1: Turnovers are always key;
2: Run the ball effectively, control the Iowa running game;
3: Get the crowd fired up and give them reason to remain fired up.
4. Everyone knows this already.
Never a prediction on score, but I give Iowa the edge.

15-20 guys in the portal isn’t probably realistic. 6-8 could make a HUGE difference.

With the forecast I’ll predict a huge invasion of black and gold. That won’t help.
