We played a different group of players in December that was a different team in a lot of ways than what we’ve been playing the last 8 or 9.
You could put the exact combinations together you want, and play them as much as you want.
And our O would still resemble a Chinese Fire Drill.
Good teams will whip your *** as they get better and better as the season goes on

team didnt put in the work needed to get better as the season went on

the resolve inside apparently isnt there. Lost any hunger to fight and scrap for everything...saw some signs vs Indiana and MSU but that has disappeared

today was listless

Maybe we are best with our backs against the wall. See last year (more hungry team) and after the 5 game losing streak . I know ok grasping at straws but maybe this team aren’t a good front running team and is better as the hunter and not the hunted

Not the coaches fault the team can't shoot from around the rim, beyond the 3 point line, or anywhere in between. This team just has not responded. How can some of these guys be so bad? What happened?

YES IT IS. Obviously we are not good at technical aspects of shooting. Someone needs to come teach it. A new assistant. The Colgate guy

As I said in the game thread, most of our core group of players have been playing together for 2 plus years but seem to have little ability/familiarity to play as a cohesive group and put each other in good position to make plays on offense. Shouldn't it be easier at this point?

Do you really think our guys work hard on the offensive end? Seems to be a lot of standing around and when they do move the ball and get an open look there is a lot of ball faking and refusing to shoot. Then the sequence starts over with less than ten on the clock. That our coaches can't figure out ways to help these guys get cleaner shots is troubling. It's all one on one with way too much dribbling.

Myles was lazy in trying to establish a post position but given our inability to make shots, teams can double him regularly when he gets it down low and we don't make them pay a price. It became obvious quite awhile ago that zone defenses would be effective against us.

On the other end we constantly need to help on dribble drives due to our slow foot speed and good teams find the open man who gets a good look and knocks them down more often than we do.

Finally, there is no getting around it,we are a soft team. We don't initiate physical play and normally don't retaliate when we get punched in the face. It is amazing how poorly we finish when driving to the basket either on a break or drive. It is getting less fun to watch this team game by game.

I am tired of writing similar comments after each of these games.

Regarding Myles, he countless times over the season and great position and everyone besides PM just look at him and move it back around rhe perimeter. Obviously the coach doesn’t force them to change so at some point, he’s like, why try. My teammates won’t pass me the ball anyway.

Compare that to guys like Garza. Their whole team understands how to feed the post. We don’t. Throw in horrible shooters and it’s a cluster.
