Kid has major hops ....HOPS (we're talking David Skywalker or Griffith) / swagger. When is the last time we were able to say that about a Rutgers player?

CS shoots from the outside (3 balls)....dunks like a mutha / according to another thread he's strongest on "D".

Rutgers needs someone with SWAGGER (Corey's got a HUGE dose of that)...

If Daniels, Williams, Lewis, etc. can get PUMPED ...who knows, this year could be better than any rag is predicting. If Corey can put up #"S that lead to W's....we'll may have him for two years...and then finally someone repping the R in the NBA again.

I agree with all that was said. Still, I don't like putting this much pressure on a freshman and someone who hasn't seen D1 competition yet. Just me.

I don't think a program in building mode needs a PG capable of dunking on people. Not sure how many of the 66 offensive possessions we will have in a typical game will his leaping ability help us.

if he is a 2,3,4,5 that is a different story.

Just thinking out loud. We've gone 24 years and counting...and since Douby who's been under pressure (Chandler, Carter, Mack Seagers?). I think we need to INCREASE the pressure on Corey...and let him SHINE! I'd like to see him put up Bob Lloyd like numbers or Phil Sellers re.: ppg. That alone would be worthy of cause for optimism. Grinding out another season where we get hammered by 40, 50 or 60 points doesn't interest me (or probably most fans).

IMO we need to attract players like Corey- give them the game plan- and, drawing a fine line, coach but don't over coach them so they can do what got them here in the first place.

I agree, grf. At this point, we have had a high number or very athletic players come through and not much has changed. Still optimistic about Sanders, though. I think he is a different player that will succeed.

Only thing about putting a ton of pressure on them is that they don't always have the support base to take that kind of pressure. It's easy for us to say pour it on, another thing for a 19 year old.

I will be happy if Sanders can match his athleticism with seemingly decent fundamentals. 8ppg,5 assist, 2 turnovers his freshman year and I will be thrilled.

Patrick, a lot of people think because someone is athletic they will be fine.

In my opinion, we need a more balanced roster.
