Debauchery is a good word for most colleges today. The animals are running the show. You don't like something, just riot and get your way. Then put on a black mask and black clothes and burn your school down. Schools have become jungles being led by liberals that hate America or pansies that give in to their demands
Yep

You should keep that crap on the OT board with PatX and KVB licking it up. That's why you won't see me there anymore. No other opinions allowed.

The student who died had the choice not to drink what he did.

I disagree with the reports of him being forced. He had his options. Say no, leave, refuse...

But their decisions after the accident are their own....they concealed, lied, disregarded.

Just call 911. Call an RA "type". Do something...

What did Jay Paterno do that was wrong?

What has Jay ever done? At all? His entire life?

He's never had a career outside of the one his father provided...and he currently makes his living by writing books about his dad, and selling beer with his dad's image, and suing Penn State (was dismissed).

Wow, young people making bad decisions when they are intoxicated and trying not to get in trouble. Boy that never happens.

Yes and those decisions can be criminal.

By the way, it was the next day and after that they coordinated the cover up....not that night, so your "they were drunk" defense doesn't hold up.

They got him help in the morning, but it was too late. I'm not defending what they did or didn't do, I'm just stating it happens all the time with young people. And to post that the whole school should be shut down is ridiculous. These kinds of things happen all the time at all different schools (including WVU) so they would have to shut down a lot of schools. Some kids made bad decisions, it happens. 18 kids were charged...that's 18 out of 45,000. By all means that calls for the school to be shut down.

Actually, you have been defending what they did.

The next day, once they realized he was about dead, they called 911 and coordinated the cover up (lies).

This doesn't happen everywhere. Someone died.

LMAO - Yeah, totally not defending them, right?

I see you're working overtime on BWI trying to defend them.

I didn't say it happens everywhere, I said it happens at a lot of different schools (15 others just since 2010 including WVU).

And if you actually read what I posted on BWI you would see I posted many times they should be punished...just not to the extent that it completely ruins their lives. Hazing deaths have occurred since the 1890's and they're getting more frequent. So what law enforcement is doing is not working.

There has been 15 hazing deaths since 2010 where the frat brothers refused to get the victim medical attention, then coordinated a cover up of their role the following day?

Let's stick to what actually happened. Are facts not important to you?

If you bothered to learn the facts, you'd understand that the charges are all appropriate.

Involuntary Manslaughter fits the bill.

There have been 15 hazing deaths since 2010. All of them resulting in lawsuits or charges brought against the Fraternity and/or the university for people involved not doing enough to help.

Again, your point?

That's your evidence that this "happens everywhere"?

Sorry, no. Someone died, they tried to cover up their involvement.

And your point is? They're being charged, so you should be happy. Maybe the death penalty will make you happy. How about concentration camps for random PSU students to make them all suffer? Will that suffice?

Yes, I'm happy they are being charged.

I'm just disturbed by the way you are defending them.

Hopefully John Zeigler and BWI members won't harass the family of the victim.

I'm defending them to the point that I realize young people do dumb things. I also realize the victim was very contributory in this. If a group of people go on a random shooting spree and one of them gets hit by a bullet, I don't have a lot of sympathy for that person.

Huh?

That didn't happen. You could read what actually took place but the facts aren't important to you.

Sad that you are shaming a young kid who died. All they had to do was call for help and he'd still be alive.

He suffered for 12 hours with a ruptured spleen and fractured skull while they took video.

One kid tried to help and they turned on him for it.

Culture Problem.

Culture problem...that's hilarious. Young people trying to avoid getting in trouble happens everywhere. And would he have fallen down the stairs if he didn't drink enough to choke an elephant? Yes, the others should have called for help but he also should have not been drinking (since he's underage) and he should have stopped before he got close to a .40 BAC. They're all college students so why should all the others be expected to act like adults and be responsible but he shouldn't have? Freedom of choice can have dangerous consequences.

And the next day when they had a group text about how to conceal what happened?

The victim is dead, what do you want? Press underage drinking charges postmortem?
