There are many positives

For one - on October 2nd - Mamadou Doucoure was certified by the NCAA eligibility center and ruled eligible to compete immediately. The value of this is enormous - He is active - practicing - learning and getting ready.
And -
because he has been certified & cleared for action - Pickell & Hobbs and a bunch of others are NOT having their time schedules sucked dry by having to tangle with the NCAA & associated aspects of this.
... and the time that Pikiell & co. are not having to spend in an eligibility issue - can be dedicated toward figuring out how to fill that last scholarship slot.

There are more guards available that can help early in their career at RU, if you are talking 2018....McClung ultimately decided that RU wasn't the best fit for him, nothing wrong with that.

This last 3 month run of great news and developments is going to be thought of as the time when RU got things going in the right direction for certain and this opening of a ship, while thinking it's a negative, really isn't at this point. It just continues the momentum because right now, kids are looking and strongly considering RU since the end of last season and the recruiting wins of Mathis and Harper Jr.

I never know how much is spin and how much is truth. Obviously the sky is falling posts are not a plus when recruits read the board. I will say that coach has done nothing to make me doubt thus far.
