We're cursed. Change whoever you want. Change the QB. Change the entire OL. You can change the head coach. The university President. The AD. The governor. The POTUS. The Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Pope. It doesn't change the outcome for Nebraska football.
The curse talk is just denying that on the field we are bad. What curse causes the OL to give up 8 sacks? It's garbage play by guys that don't know who to block, can't handle their assignments and a QB that doesn't keep anyone honest
You're not really smelling what I'm stepping in. The obvious statement is that we're bad. But it doesn't matter what parts we change out from year to year - we're still bad. Saying "cursed" is a way of asking "How can we keep swapping parts for 10 straight years, and this is what we have?"
We simply got lucky with two great consecutive coaches, a weak *** conference, and a host of other things where the stars lined up. Living in Iowa, all the fans of both state programs here said Husker football would never be the same after TO retired and they have been absolutely correct. Right now, our best hope is to just get competitive with the likes of Iowa and Minnesota.
The sooner we realize Nebraska will never win another national championship and be a middle of the pack B1G program, the sooner we can accept our reality and move forward with appropriate expectations.
Nope, we have enough resources to be competitive nationally. We just keep hiring morons at both HC and AD.
