This is the rule. It was the right call. I hate that it seems like the refs are always out to get us. Maybe they are, not on that call.

A shin???? How about just say the knee was down, the shin, unless broke, doesnt hit before a knee...show me a shin down,

You’re down when any part of your body other than feet or hands touch the ground. It was the right call. Would Ohio State have been reviewed and overturned? Probably not… but it was an accurate call

It would be the side of the lower leg. This comes into play more often when a receiver is trying to make a sliding catch on the sideline.

It did seem oddly specific. I fully expected the next play to be them saying the "right side of the players left ankle" was down.
