Please make tonight his last game. He is the most annoying I've ever heard. Sorry but he made the night worse. No other comments

Agree. I don't like the regular announcer too. We should get someone like the Seton Hall announcer.

Fellow Rutgers fans,

I don't chime in around here much anymore... but for this topic, I felt a need to reply. This is Danny Breslauer - as most of you know. I'm in Israel finishing one of my final MBA courses - but tuned into the whole RU game last night/middle of the night.

Mike is an extremely hard-working person - and Rutgers Athletics is doing a great thing by giving him a platform to build on his PA announcing career. I was the first to bring Mike into the fold at RU, as a WRSU Sports staffer during his college days. Despite dealing with Asperger's his entire life: ... Mike has been incredibly committed to his craft of voiceover work and PA.

He is a loyal son of Rutgers - let's dial it back a bit. You're entitled to your opinion, but I thought you should know the whole story.

My best to all of you and I hope to see many scarlet-clad fans on 1/21 at the RAC.

For me, it's nothing personal against anyone, I just think the whole game day atmosphere needs to evolve

I was commenting that we were 1-0 with this announcer until last night ... All good in my opinion. Old folks around here will start retracting their thoughts on him.

I'm far more concerned with what is happening on the court which is the only thing that matters. There are lots of things fans can complain about attending a game which really are side issues .

Dan,

I respect what you are saying about Mike, and wish him well in whatever he wants to do, but I(MY opinion only) can not take the "fake" Michael Buffer voice. Why couldn't he use his real voice and add in some "flavor"?

Maybe I am getting old, but I go to EVERY game and have been for many, many years and it is enough to want to make me stay home. JUST MY OPINION.

Best of Luck,
Groz

You all are nuts. He does the soccer games and also volleyball and I think wrestling, and he's awesome. I love his deep voice for announcing, some PA announcers stink! I wish he announced the marching scarlet knights entering the field to start rutgers football gameday.

My friend who came to the game with me thought he was great. He loved the energy and thought he brought the feel of a big time announcer.

Maybe Mike should pull it back just a bit, but I applaud him for living the dream and overcoming a tough hand that was dealt to him.

I absolutely hated the Seton Hall announcer! I happen to like our guy...I have no issue with him. Also those who think that the music is too loud at the RAC have not been to a football game.

Haven't heard anyone complain about the volume st the RAC just that they'd like to hear the band more and less piped in music. Nothing is more ear splitting than the stadium PA. Literally painful.

I don't like either one of the announcers. For me, just keep it simple and announce without all the vocal theatrics.

The backup PA announcer is the last of this program's problems.

Frankly I'd like him to replace that carpet bagger football PA guy Joe Nolan who still can't pronounce all the players' names correctly.

I didn't like the announcer at all either, I had season tickets up until this year. But the guy who was the announcer for the longest time annoyed me bc in big games he would never shut up but in reg games he didnt care as much. I remember hed but "Quincy Douby for 3, Assist for Marquis Webb, Douby for 3" he would never say that in an OOC game.

Does the PA guy have to yell when there is one minute left in the half and game?

Is this announcement an NCAA rule?

The fact that the guy has Asperger's and still performs his duties in an extremely competent manner just blows my mind.

My son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3 (he is now 10) and he has his struggles in almost any social situation. To have the courage to follow his dreams and do it with such passion is amazing and he should be commended. I for one look forward to wishing him well in person at the next game.

At Tel Aviv University for a joint venture on technology entrepreneurship with NYU Stern. Back to NYC next week to start my final MBA semester. Thanks - Israel is incredible... my 2nd time here.

See everyone at the RAC and MSG the next 2 weeks.

I noticed a difference in the PA announcer at the beginning of the game, but then in the heat of the game didn't really have any positive or negative impression. Look forward to seeing you on the 21st, Danny (206 row H guy).
