I was watching it live on YouTube for about 30 minutes tonight and now I know why you shouldn't take results from those events and assume someone is great. Nothing they do reflects a real football game. The drill where running backs and linebackers go head to head starts with a 20 yard split. Dumb. Nothing realistic about that at all.
The QB's only throw to a handful of routes and most of them are just simple drags, corners, and slants. Simple elementary stuff.
I don't see the point in these events at all now that I have seen it for my own eyes. Just wannabe adults wanting to get their football fix as experts.
Smart coaches watch full game film, evaluate footwork on the basketball floor or on the track field. Lineman for wrestling.
