Been a fun season of Majors.

Spieth's bogey, bogey end yesterday is going to keep him from this one. If he ever gets out of his own head he will compete again.

Rahm is about to finish in the top 10 again... damn good ball striker. Louie played really well this year.

But Morikawa has really upped his game this year. We really have a big group of good young players in the game now.

Been reading up on Morikawa since the tournament. He's young but definitely not a "flash in the pan". He's got a great head on his shoulders and a very solid upbringing/foundation. Kid's got a big-time career in front of him.

Jordan on pace. Just clean up a few mistakes, and he’ll be golden. He’s driving it a lot straighter. Once thats clear, he goes as his putter goes. For him that’s a good thing.

Louie is extremely talented. Pains me to say it, I don’t think he cares about winning. He cares about his family, farming, and doing what he wants to do away from golf. Golf is just a job, and he makes money at it, lots of money. I have trouble listening to 17ing announcers (mainly Lerner) say “he’s just not a closer”, yah well you sit at a desk chump. I guess I’d have to listen to Leonard talk noise, he’s earned it.

He started the broadcast by reminding the audience - at least twice - that Ooosthuizen is 38 and may be running out of time to win another major. He ended it by reminding the audience that Oosthuizen is only 38 and had time to win again.

Agree totally. Never have liked him as an announcer. He always goes to extremes. I think I liked Johnny Miller better.

Funny Louie story
I went to the masters in 2012 for the Tuesday practice round. Some kids in front of me had the tourney program book, reading trivia stuff, and said nobody ever got an albstross on #2. I laughed because that's the sort of thing I'd read at that age, or now even.
Anyway I watched the final round at home, where Louie almost beat Bubba, and he did become the 1st to albatross #2.
I've been a fan ever since.

Anyway, glad Speith is back doing well.
The guy who won the Open was pretty incredible. I wish I'd watched more.

I remember seeing an interview with Rory several years ago and they asked him if he ever goes out and plays golf with friends or family and he said no not any more, that’s not fun to him. It’s his job.

Someone sent me a link to a piece of an interview a year or two ago, I don’t remember who it was but I want to say It was Koepka, he was injured at the time and they asked him why he was going to play an upcoming tournament if he knew he couldn’t win. He said they pay me a lot of money to come in 11th place. I might have butchered that but it was along those lines. I thought it was great.
