I gave the Sooners no chance of making it to the playoffs after the Texas loss. I stuck to my guns up to late in the season.

Wow, was I wrong!!!

You and most of us. There was no reason to think otherwise the way Baylor and TCU were playing at that time. So look what happened. Ain't it great. The playoffs will test the mettle of this staff and the squad, but in August hardly any OU fan would have given us a chance. I like our chances now, and I bet you do too, 22. Boomer!

I'll admit that I wasn't thinking playoffs this year with so many questions. I knew later on it was set for us to take. They did take it which is most impressive.
My thoughts after the Texas game was we set Charlie up to have a great year for Texas. Amazing comparison between two rivals. They sink and we surged and I think that game was what we needed at the perfect time. I hated it losing to an unranked Texas, but love the results in the end.

I'm eating at Sonic right now. That is punishment enough.
Easy now...some of Sonic's food isn't too bad S22.

Buy hey...after the Texas loss I really didn't see OU making a run and getting into the playoffs either. I knew the Texas game alone couldn't derail it, but OU looked so bad that game that any realistic person would have never imagined OU could have ran the table the rest of the year. This team has been completely transformed since that game. Plenty of OU teams in the past played better and better as the season progressed under Stoops. But none like this. It's hard to imagine this is the same roster that just looked awful against Texas that day.

Well, if it's any consolation I too was cynical, though not as demonstrative as some here.

Take heart man, if you're going to err, this is the classy way to do it.

By the way, in the words of Rain mans brother Charlie Babbitt, Sonic does suck. (or was that K-Mart?)

I was wrong about half the time with my college football picks, so there's that. I stopped slapping my palm on my forehead with each bad pick because I was getting too many headaches and a permanent hand print on my forehead.

Hey, and Sonic is some damned good food! Haven't had it in awhile, so maybe I'll hit it this weekend!

Oh, just messing with y'all about Sonic...matter of fact, if I was stalked 24/7, one would discover I have a curious propensity for the foot long chili cheese dogs, with onion rings.
Busted!

The end of the season certainly left me with my "pants on the ground" ala Favre.

Ain't picking them up until we win it all! You can get pics on the cheap.

Or just watch the latest "People of Wal-Mart" on YouTube.

I prefer Taco Bueno personally and would really love to travel back in time to go to Casa Bonita.
Gotcha on the Casa Bonita comment. Mmmmmm! As for Bueno, they've become sub-Taco Bell.

As a youngster in my mid-20's, I managed Bueno's. Since ownership changed from Bill Waugh to various corporates, the product has been severely diminished in size. Just one example, burritos were 7 oz. and that was also the industry standard. Though still quite tasty, they are more expensive now and burrito specs have shrunk to 5.5 oz. They've decreased the sizes of their entire product line resulting in products smaller in size than Bell.

Really didn't mean to go on a Bueno rant but I've come to hate their business practices.

Is there a pouty-face icon for SoonerMike to use? Maybe he needs a hug.

Nah I don't need a hug. Just hate being misunderstood by posters I have a great deal of respect for on this board. And for whatever reason it's been happening a lot. Either I need to change the way I word things or the reader might have to read the post closer. One of these days I'll figure it out.

Reader disclaimer, an 'I'm so old' joke coming up:
I'm so old that I went to Casa Bonita when it first opened and the all you can eat buffet was only 1.79!
The sopapillas were to die for...

I ate more than I should have just for the pleasure of 'Running up the Flag', and Amen! to the Sopapillas! Wish I had some, right now, along with a Flag Team to serve 'em...

Taco Bueno > Taco Bell
I think the squirrel population in your community has become endangered BR as a result of the "New and Improved" Bueno campaign.;) Instead of ladling the meat onto the tortilla or shell, they use a toothpick.

Better lay your eyes on their new nutritional labels. Very telling.

I was impressed with their Salad Bar...Installed 'under the hood' of a Spiffy Red Sports Car. It dominated the Dining Area and was a great Conversation Piece...

If you had to use the bathroom there, never ask their staff where it's located that would be a big mistake. Lol

Wth are you serious?? I haven't eaten at Taco Bueno in months, but are they going the route of the "old school" Taco Bell and blowing up their menu in the quest of making more money?? Man...if that's the case I will be sorely disappointed. Taco Bueno was always light years better than Taco Bell. Now I'm depressed....lol

Man...anyone talking **** about the Bueno especially VS Taco Bell has to be strung up and beaten with a switch. There is no comparison! Taco Bell is like eating a steaming pile of dog ****. Now, I give you...Bueno is NOT what it used to be. It used to be spicier and had a kick...but Taco Bell? I would rather eat the *** out of a menstruating skunk.

When I moved to Hutto, TX back in 2006 and the closest Bueno was in San Marcos or Waco, I wasn't having it. I mean Taco Cabana is serviceable if you want to pay a thousand dollars for mediocre stuff...but I've always loved the Bueno. I know it's not what it was once, but I finally got one in Round Rock and my ex wife used to call it my mistress. I'd sneak out and go there twice a week.

I know it sounds dumb, but I've always loved the place. There are some better than others, but yeah...I love it.

Man it's not dumb at all. I LOVED my Bueno back in the day. I don't eat really any fast food much at all anymore, but I loved to hit up Bueno every once in a while. You are right, it's not as good as it use to be, but it's still BY FAR better than Taco Bell. I really don't see how anyone can eat that trash they serve at Taco Bell anymore. It's god awful. I'm really amazed that Taco Bell is even in business anymore. It just amazes me that people will eat that dumpster trash.

I hear ya, it's like they put crack in it.

Oh yeah, if I had a dollar for every time I've had a beef burrito with sour cream at TB...I'd have about five grand...
