I think you're right that if RU is starting to put it together, it will be reflected in tonight's performance. A win tonight would be the first road win, first Q2 win, and create real separation between them and the bottom of the pack.

That said, I'm not sure that's what we've got at this point. Let's see if Francis, Zrno, Powers, Buchanan, Grant, and JMike can all play well on the same night. If yes, we can win this game. If not, PSU should be able to hold us off.

If history holds, starting lineup will be the same that started and produced a 19-10 run that Pike uninterrupted for almost 9 minutes. Would love to see the same for tonight's 1st half

State Penn 58, Rutgers 55 as Pike never prepares team for road games. This is an opportunity to avoid playing day 1 of B1G tourney. Hopefully game will not be as bad to watch as Maryland game or Minnesota / Oregon game last night which set back basketball many years. Bottom 5-6 B1G teams are playing different sport than top 5-6 B1G teams.

Except for a blowout loss to Wisconsin, PSU has played every other major opponent very tough at home, so I expect this to be a dogfight. Unfortunately, until I see this team win a road game, I have to predict a loss.

On any given day PSU can be really bad (mostly on the road) or pretty decent (mostly at home).

Case in point, they lost at home to Michigan by only 2 points, then played them on the road and lost by 41 points.

I’m thinking our best outcome would be a close win, similar to what USC did at Penn State recently.

We have been consistently better in the second half with a few exceptions, so If we’re within 5 points at the half, I believe we’ll win:
