Sadly, I think we will lose our first game. I watched Miami play twice so far and they are very athletic and long. It all depends how well they shoot from the outside, because I found them to be hot and cold. Of course it also depends how we rebound on both ends of the court and can Thiam, Williams and Laurent hit some timely threes?
RU really cooled off the last two games but showed a lot of guts in staying in the game and prevailing. Although I will be rooting hard for them to pull this game off, I think there are too many variables for them to overcome. But, I don't expect to make it to the tournament anyway and I think anyone who is thinking we can is probably going to be disappointed. If we can get to a .500 season or better, it is a tremendous step forward.
One of my favorite Billy Joel songs is "Miami 2017" but since this is still 2016, I'll predict a Rutgers victory, 69-65.
I'm with Sideline here....this game has potential to be ugly and low scoring if we bring our A effort...exactly how we will need to win in the B1G.

RU somewhat like the Giants. Winning by their defense and spurts of offense. If we lose I hope it is merciful. If we win I hope we all raise a toast and then keep it chill.
Miami on a 2 game losing streak is not a good sign....and Larranaga is a good coach....too much for us to overcome...

Miami is not a great outside shooting team. RU matches up well on the inside. Miami lost 2 in a row to good Iowa St. and Florida teams in games that weren't close and the Miami scored only 56 points in both games with terrible % from the 3. Keeping Newton to 15 pts is the key.
