The next three games

Might be Rolaids time. This team has shown that if they are not clicking on all cylinders, they can lose to ANYBODY. (see Lafayette). I'm just hoping these are not going to be games where we are sweating it out in the final minutes. Wouldnt it be nice to see a blowout for a change? Even the Merrimack and NJIT games, although we won by double digits, we let them both hang around for too long. We cant go back to that.

Yes, I do think we are finally beyond the Lafayette level now that we have played some real teams. However, when we are bad, we are really bad, so we can probably still lose to anyone.

I wonder if any team has beaten the number 1 team and lost to the 381st (or whatever they were) in the same season, like we have?

Also want to see Oskar and Reiber play. Let’s see if we can count on them going forward. Oskar has a nice shooting touch. But does he have the rest of the game needed to compete?

its tragic scheduling, these are some of the worst schools in the country thus far but dont think Rider cannot give RU some trouble if RU reverts back to form they played vs the Patriot League dregs

Maine is rated the 358th team in the NET good for last place.

I still don’t get the fascination with Jones here. He looks good on curated Instagram videos?

Against Purdue, RHJ looked incredibly frustrated at Jones who clearly was going to the wrong spots on offense. So he doesn’t know the offense or play defense. His shot making hasn’t been anything. How has he earned minutes?

I do think Reiber needs some serious run here just because Agee has been the worst backup big in the Pikiell era. It’s possible Reiber isn’t any better, but we just need someone to be in the right places on the floor at this point and to box out. If he can’t build confidence in these next three games, there are three outcomes for the season:

1) Keep doing what we’ve been doing and let bench units be drastically outscored in big ten play
2) Switch to zone, which would be highly unlikely for Pike even if it takes advantage of his teams greatest asset (length at spots 1-4)
3) Play small, but risk extreme fatigue for Harper, who likely would have to be the rim protector.

I actually prefer a blend of 2&3, with Mag playing the center spot defensively and expecting McConnell and Mulchahy to double immediately on post entries.

He also was supposed to be the best shooter on the team similar to Palmquist last season.Pikiell needs to find out if these players can score in game time situations.There might be many players leaving at the end of the season based on graduations and transfers .Playing time will be a important factor along with how well the team performs.

Jones -- yes.
Agee -- no, split his minutes between Reiber and Palmquist. I hate to criticize players here, but unless he's actually killing it in practice, Agee should be relegated to garbage time. He played himself onto the bench.

Jones has played himself on the bench. Jones has been terrible why are you viewing Agee in a different lens than Jones. Neither have proved anthing.

Central Connecticut and Maine are actually worse than Lafayette somehow. Maine may actually be the worst division I team.

Maine is 11 pts/100 worse than Lafayette according to Kenpom. This is the same gap as between #1 Baylor and #25 BYU.
