Maybe I’m crazy but in the last few years something is just missing from uK Basketball. It’s like the players take no pride in being at UK, have no refuse to lose attitude, and have an entitled attitude that grows through the team like a disease. If you ask the players they would say we are working hard to get better but just the opposite happens.

Good shooters don’t suddenly forget how to shot and every good shooter forgets at the same time. Running plays or not, these players are missing wide open uncontested shots.

No question the 90s spoiled every UK fan but when you watch those kids play their was no NIL, and their was a feeling that being a UK player meant you were never outworked and losing was unacceptable. I guess I may be the only one that feels this way but I hate losing because I’m a UK grad from Kentucky.

The coach doesn’t call anything to get them open, he calls the same dribble handoff or curl screen on the baseline for shooters

Cal has got a HUGE problem with instilling confidence in his shooters. It's been that way for a while now. The kids Cal is bringing in here are not SURE about their game, which is a DIRECT reflection on Cal.

There is NO EXCUSE for players at THE University of Kentucky STRUGGLING with scoring because they aren't CONFIDENT in their abilities!!! What is Cal doing to KILL these kids PSYCHE???!!!!!

It's weird though because the kids luv Cal and yeah he's a good guy. He's just not in the right position for what he wants in life. We want a coach and Cal is rich and wants to help people, he needs to be in political office or such. Go help people and leave the job to someone who appreciates it.

The pieces simply don't fit the puzzle. The roster has talent but the talent we have requires COACHING,setting solid offensive plays that will get our shooters open.On the defensive side this team isn't built to play man on man an entire game but since the so called coach refuses to mix up the defensive schemes the end result is getting beat because our players don't rotate or help out...We can do this type of **** against lower level competition and win but good teams with solid coaching will beat us because we are so easy to scout and prepare for.Its really pathetic and a damn joke.Gold standard my ***.

We are also missing that guy that can take over the game with the ball in his hands. Yes Oscar is an MVP but we need that guy who can play with the ball in his hands and make a shot or take the ball to the hole.

Balanced talent. We have some skilled players, but we have big talent gaps. And the pieces don't all fit together. And Cal appears not to interested in coaching up a cohesive team out of the misfit parts. To me it seems unavoidable that Cal gets his year with the class of 23, the most promising class he's had in a long time, but if it weren't for that, the product he's been putting on the floor should be enough to call it.
