They are very, very, concerned over this hire and are already spewing hate. My brother, who's an OM grad, is sending all sorts of crap out. Sent me a pic of Shraeder with his eye swollen shut and another of Gay fanning cash.
How does this crap get out??? Claiming that Shraeder and his family are furious. Get ready.

They have their spin machine on full spin. Love it!!!

Now go hire Napier!!!

Yea they are not happy. I have had several texts from them also. Hope we make a good hire b/c it is killing them right now, they thought we were stuck with SlowJoe years.

Yea, they're definitely running scared. We're way ahead of them on talent currently on this team and they know it. Hiring those two baffoons that they got yesterday will just shine more NCAA light on them. Keep on whistling by that graveyard on the plantation!!

Well of course it's not going to work out for either of us, but this new game of chicken is going to be INTENSE.

I believe there is some buyer's remorse with Kiffin. The Durkin hire that will be the gift that keeps on giving.

Napier and Kiffin were their final two, so every time they doubt something Kiffin does, or if Napier comes in and hits it out of the park, they will be reminded that they could've had Napier.

I've gotten more text from bears than dawgs.
"Napier would be a lame as 17 hire"
"Napier is ok for lil bro"
"way to sign a full class, now y'all Re stuck with those kids" as it's a bad thing a new coach with a month to go only needs to fill 5 spots.

but they don't care about msu!**

2021 will have a lot of really good players coming out of high school in this state. Before yesterday, Ole Miss had a HUGE recruiting advantage with that class, because we were going into next year with a lame duck coach. Now, the timing of this really works out for us because we will be able to hold this class together (a lot of the big signees like Forbes, Groce, and Marks have already said they are sticking with State), and we are starting on equal footing with Ole Miss in recruiting for next year. Plus, I just think Napier is a better coach with less baggage than Kiffin.

I'd be concerned if the Bears WEREN'T spewing hate.

We definitely want them to consistently hate us.

Hell yeah. They blew it not hiring Napier. When we hire Napier, you'll see their true reactions to the Lane hire.

I think they hired him just so they could say, "Get on board the Lane Train!" All they care about is winning the press conference.

Soooo...

Did Cohen intentionally wait until Ole Miss got their guy and after signing period to make a move? Am I reaching or is he smarter than we've been giving him credit for?

I think it would be funny if you get Napier. 5 years down the road it will look like a smart move compared the the eventual cluster from JS

You're reaching. He's damn lucky our top candidates didn't get hired by another school last month.

it’s brilliant. We are currently the only Div. 1 head coach job open in the entire country. Most extensions and contracts have been signed for Head coaches and assistants alike. We are in the drivers seat on most every negotiation because of this.

Kiffin is basically Derek Dooley with a tan.

Time will tell, I suppose. I don’t think Carter ever even talked to Napier. Not because he’s not qualified, as he’s a dang good football coach. But, because Norvell was 1A and Kiffin was 1B and 1B accepted. That may prove to be a great thing for MSU. Only time will tell.

Someone said the guy who runs FootballScoop is an Ole Miss alum and he tried to get Napier an interview. Not sure if it happened or not.

If Napier was rejected by rebs so they could hire Kiffin, then Napier should have a little extra motivation rub their nose in it every egg bowl too.

Once Kiffen turned down Arkie Ole Miss locked down on him. If he had gone to

Arkie I am pretty confident Napier would have been the next Ole Miss Coach. Time will tell who
got the best deal.
