The hump can still get loud.

I know this has been beaten to death but I hate how they moved the student section. It takes them out of the game. I was there last night and I’m guessing there were maybe 6500 people. The bottom was scattered with empty seats and the top was sparsely crowded especially on the ends.

If they are going to have the students section all behind the goal, at least put it on the correct side.

Auburn is one of the toughest places to play now... they have one row of premium NBA like courtside seats that go 3/4 around court, then the student section goes behind those about 10 rows deep...also the TV camera faces the student section where in the Hump it faces the empty Gray/Blue Hair section... even tough I can’t stand Auburn, the energy there makes me want to go to a game there...the Hump, not so much...

I've said for along time I wish that we would upgrade McArty hall. I'd like to pack it like Duke does Camren!

In 03/04 we always got in line early and sat at center court in front of Jacks perch and the crowd noise was deafening.

Yessir. My bunch sat on the top row just in front of Jack every game those years. Every game, especially SEC, was an event !! Those were the good old days. I noticed most of student section doesn't stand now. We used to never sit down unless it was timeout or halftime. It's been so long that the magic recipe for the student section has been lost. And no, i never had a Rick's Rowdies shirt.

I was at the women's game today, and my friend was surprised how loud it got. He asked, "Do the men's games get this loud?" I've only been to one men's game this year. Can anyone compare the atmosphere at the Hump for men and women?

The loudest I’ve ever heard that building was for a women’s game. 2018 against South Carolina. Atmosphere-wise the women probably have it better right now, but it can still get loud for a big men’s game.

You can’t “upgrade” to what Cameron currently is code-wise. Nor can they significantly modify without bringing it to current standards.

Attendance is certainly getting better and that’s awesome to see.

I noticed during the NIT a few years ago that Baylor does the same thing. A bunch of rowdy kids screaming at our bench. It really amplified the Stapleton-Kegler trash talk.

I get maintaining premium seating, but there has to be a balance.

You mean to tell me with all the money coming in from the SEC we can't "upgrade"?

Do you think we have enough money to recreate universal nationwide safety standards back to what they were 50 years ago? Because that’s what it would take to recreate Cameron Indoor. Let me know when we do it. Pimlico will be pumped.

During the comeback yesterday was as loud as it's been since that South Carolina game in 2018. It was incredible.

And that's with like 100 students, no idea where they were.
