2016 - 5 games decided by 7 or less. We win 3 of those in OT. Most of us consider this season a very good year.
2017 - lose 6 games by 10 or less. 3 of those losses were by 4 or less. Most fans were very disappointed with the year we had.
A few games either year going the other way and the emotions surrounding the season could have flipped.
There are only a few teams that are so good that they are unlikely to be beaten by the average teams. Likewise only a few so bad they are unlikely to beat average teams. The difference between those teams in between are injuries, turn-overs, and a few others things like leadership, luck, and a few good or bad calls by officials.
Let’s hope this years TU football team is on the right side of the fine line. GoTU!!!
