From my perspective and limited to this season,the Big 12 is slightly the superior conference followed closely by the Big Ten,Big East and Pac 12 with the ACC a laggard.I have always felt that the Big Ten gets loads of credit because of prominence in most major media markets. Not sure why people hear love to knock the Big East. My hunch is because of the bad taste left from the years in which Rutgers was a member.The Big East has something no one else can boast of. The Garden. It is huge in recruiting in the NYC,NJ and Philly recruiting areas. Kids want to play there.Coach K knew that from day one and that is why he played there every year. Rutgers will be there at least once next year,which should assist on at least a minor level in local recruiting. Quick segue. Steve did not forget how to recruit during that bad January stretch last season and yet again this season. This team will improve some almost certainly. I do believe that the recruitment of the current sophomore class has certainly hurt this year in terms of depth and overall talent. I believe that it is still capable of being a tourney team and will beat Clemson and UMass,2 important OOC resume games.
