..... the mood is better, the sun will be brighter... a great day yesterday...

It's a small step that reminds us how far we had fallen and how far we have still to go... but I love it for these kids and coaches... and fans...

I used to look down on us rushing the field.... for the moment I don't care... just want us to continue to improve...

Glad Rhule/ Dannen had the guts to make the midseason move... EASILY could be 9-2 right now...

Blessings, friends

Coach Cig showed how weak this conference is overall. How a team with average talent can buy in and blow through this conf. No reason Nebraska couldn’t do the same. It’s ripe for the taking. Only OSU, Oregon and PSU field winning units, each year.

It won’t get easier. Some teams are on the verge of doing just that. Nebraska could be one of them. Meanwhile, 13 teams are stuck on stupid.

Not just the football game, but volleyball team sweeping Wisconsin and basketball team beating Creighton all have me feeling good about our sports programs for once.

Get Holgorsen a fat contract.

The coffee DOES taste pretty great this morning!

I don't blame the younger fans for taking to the field to celebrate. Around here we used to say, "Act like you've been there before." But we haven't "been there" in a lot of years. It's good to see there's that passion to celebrate a preseason goal.

That’s a great point. I was thinking, ‘Ah man, don’t rush the field. It was just 6 wins.’ However, you reminded me just now that our young fans have only really experienced disappointment and heartache.

I’ll allow it. 🤓

Rhule definitely feels back on track.

I haven’t followed this issue that closely, but has Holgorsen given any indication if he would stay long term as OC and be a mentor for our young qb?

I am kind of shocked how fast he came in and turned the offense around.

I hope we are more than a temporary stop for the guy. 🤞

I hope he misses the game, being on the sideline. He was all smiles and I think he enjoyed it, but we’ll see

If Holgorsen comes back I think we get some stud transfers and have a real break out season next year.

It was 98% students,if not more, rushing the field and it was to celebrate the end of the bowl drought not to celebrate the win over Wisconsin. Now if the Nebraska program ever mints rings after going 12-2 in a season, that will be embarrassing and a new low.

It’s a nice morning, enjoy your Sunday.

Got damn that’s some good coffee. So proud of the program. Proud to be a Husker fan— which has been difficult to say in recent years. Morning, Husker Nation. 🙋‍♂️

Appears are only worry is some other program hiring him away..
If I was Dannen and Rhule I’d be hiring him for 1.5M immediately.

I don’t get why so many still don’t get it..
Holgorsen gets like 4 million the next two years, he does not get to add in the money we pay him, that only decreases the amount that Houston pays out.
The important thing is to let him be OC and agree to let him pick his own offensive staff.

And, get him what you can that won’t reduce the Houston pay… surely there are some fringe items that can be allowed (read: hookers and blow)

The carrot we could give him is a 4 year contract with a large retention bonus after his Houston contract expires.

Exactly, hookers and blow. Plus I believe he likes booze. Get him booze in his coffee if it’s what he wants. If he wants to be a head coach again then there is nothing that can be done to keep him here.

I’d love to hook him up with a 4 year, 4 mil contract, then coach option for 2 more years at 2 mil per.

Either way, I do believe he stays with us next year. And he gets to put in his offense and maybe keep some of the current plays we run if he likes them. He clearly has a better feel for the play calling in this offense than the guy we had that actually installed the offense

Everyone needs to come to grips with the fact that we are going to have to overpay if we want DH. Just the way it is with these buyouts. We can try to negotiate with Houston but they have the upper hand. No reason for them to lower the buyout.

We don’t have to buy out Houston for him to remain our OC. They fired him. Anything Dana makes at NU comes out of what they owe him. They’re more than happy to have us pay him 1.3 million to be our OC.

Not everyone wants to work for the same salary they get for sleeping in and golfing all day. Net wash on DH's end may not get him to take an OC job.
