The biggest problem all year cannot change

No real center. We all said it in the offseason. Even an explosion by 60 points in the first half, we gave up 50 because every UM miss was an offensive rebound, including their missed FTs. Doomed from the start

This team has slow feet which causes all kinds of problems on the defensive end.
The biggest problem is the leader of the program - wacko substitution patterns, playing too many guys, allowing double figures in open threes and layups every game, no accountability, no pride in containing your man on defense, and no blocking out. Its just so many things, but take a lot of pride in that 3.1 GPA.

Does this team even practice. I don't say please too often, but please step down Steve.

With 3 seconds left everyone has a man. Move your feet & don’t foul. Why Dylan was playing
Help defense I’ll never know. To leave the best 3 point shooter is a crime. I don’t blame Dylan either.
In the timeout the frickn coaches didn’t deliver. Michigan didn’t even win it. We choked it away with some
Help by bad officiating .

Real problem = no heart, no fight, no defense when it counts

Most disappointing team in the nation.
Yet in this game they battled their *** off on the road against the 15 ranked team and had the win except for on obvious blown call. This no heart **** you throw around is simply wrong in this game. You seem to be another one who only comes around to **** on the team.

Very true. That problem was obvious to most other than the guy making $3m to coach the team

Comes down to no leadership. Been a problem all year. There is no one on the roster that the freshmen and transfers can emulate and look up to. To show how it's done.

Look at the last timeout last night. Ace was leading that huddle until Pike sat down. Then what did Ace do when the huddle broke? Laughed and shoved Pike 3-4 times to get a reaction. In what world is that normal? This time is when you get locked in and focused. There is no one on the roster keeping anyone in check or responsible for their actions.

He's not a center. He's a power forward that is playing center because we don't have anyone else. That's Pike's fault.
Doesn’t excuse defending like he plays in cement sneakers. he can’t defend anyone so it’s wrong to attribute it to his O game.

There is no such thing as a power forward. He’s just a lousy defensive big.

Do you have a similar excuse for Davis ?

They both stink defensively. Davis also happens to stink on offense (begging the question: why is he on the court? But I digress ...). That said, Sommerville (who is fat and can't jump) would have a hell of an easier time guarding someone 6'7" or 6'8", instead of guarding someone 7'. There's a reason Charles Barkley and Larry Johnson didn't play center.

Not accurate....the 6'7" and 6'8" guys are much too fast for him to guard. And 7 footers are too tall, and also too fast. The Round Mound of Rebound and the Grand MaMa were explosive, quick players who could defend other bigs. Lathan cannot defend anyone wearing the other uniform.

I've often said he can't jump. I agree with your other term but have refrained from using it. Others here would have gotten upset. But yeah, he's that too.

Agree about Davis though. He and Derkack are unplayable. He must have some dirt in Pike to get any run at all.

Why wasn’t Grant out there?? Guarding the inbounds pass??
