Usually, that happens when a defense gets worn down.

Usually, a team’s defense gets very, very worn down when that same team’s offense starts the game with 5 consecutive drives that don’t produce a first down (!!!!), and they don’t gain a first down until a few minutes before halftime.



The Jets have one problem and one problem alone.

Yes, it’s no joke.

The Colts ran a total of 33 plays, for 144 yards, scored 13 points, and chewed up almost 19 minutes of game clock before the Jets ever got a first down. That’s your whole ballgame right there.

Also, check out that 10 play, 10 yard drive that took 6 minutes. That’s a mind17.

Aaron Rodgers passing stats on the first 5 drives of the game: 5-8, for THREE yards, one sack taken on 3rd and short. There’s no mystery where the problem lies.
