This is where baseball is a different animal than the other two major sports. Football has a quarterback and basketball has a point guard. Baseball is a game of failure and humility. Everyone is subject to ups and downs. You can go 3-4 with a HR one day and then go 0-5 with 3 strikeouts the next. Yelling and getting into peoples faces doesn’t work in baseball. It’s the old clique, lead by example. Show respect for the opponent, the umpires, your coaches and your teammates.
Well, I hate the timing of the draft,but I get it. It seems to cause a lot of angst amongst the guys eligible for it and possibly some hard feelings. Can't have it. Everybody focused on one goal.
