I mean, it's a funny idea I guess to call WWE essential, but does anybody really disagree with the decision? Why wouldn't they go back to work with precautions?

It’s more about the travel for the wrestlers being the problem. The original plan was to tape shows for the next month or so over this past weekend and then everybody would have the next several weeks off to stay at home. Instead they decided to go live three nights a week, meaning the wrestlers will have to travel from all over the place and risk exposure every week.

This, like much in life, is a spectrum.

I would say that declaring scripted wrestling as essential is far from where on the spectrum my view of 'essential' currently resides.
This is why I said I don't think its essential.


Pro wrestling couldn't ever fit i to the definition of essential, even with the most creative of wordsmiths trying their best.
