Apparently he is looking things over. Just maybe we should try to get involved at the last moment. We could have lots of minutes to offer. We also have some serious coaches when it comes to recruiting.

I don't think Thompson provides as much overlap or need as he does to SHU, especially if Thiam is on board for RU.....If Thiam was available to SHU, they assuredly would be fine with either Thompson or Thiam.

Hawk - have to disagree with you on this one. Very different skill sets. Thiam is purely a wing and Thompson is purely an inside player who is ideal at 4 and can play the 5.

For whatever reason Thompson has never been interested in RU. Would have been very happy to have him here.

I wish your program the best. I t hink Thiam is more of a small forward. A 4/5 need a mindset, and I do not know if Thiam has that mindset.

Are you kidding ?

I can guarantee you if this staff was in place 3 months ago they would be all over the kid.

I saw the kid play at St Anthony's and he's very good.

Agree with you TDIrish. Good kid and will likely be a very good college player. He has been heavily recruited by many fine programs. He has narrowed his list but understandably is having a tough time deciding upon the best of a number of good options. Would have loved RU to have obtained his commitment but he was unfortunately never interested and new staff had no time to develop a relationship.

Don't mistake talent on the court for potential huge distraction off the court....there is a reason he's still unsigned and not yet verballed to a school.....

Hawk - I trust you have reasons for your opinion. That is fair. All I can say is I have known him a long time and always thought highly of him on and off court.

Played very well for a great program at Brewster Academy who has probably had as many great players as any program on the East Coast------- that I do know.
