Hoping for a fun game & both teams comes out healthy! More than likely a running clock. I probably won’t be in attendance for this one. Not sure if you guys know but we lost a former Viking football family early yesterday morning. LaMichael Everette from the undefeated 2010 state championship team. I saw that yesterday. So sad! If I’m not mistaken, he actually played some QB in the title game
RIP to LaMichael. I just talked to him at the EP Mart a few weeks ago.
Lamichael was a beast on the field to. It was a rough weekend here in edgecombe county. Praying for his family 
Yes, this will probably be a running clock game as Washington Co. looks pretty bad. That makes no sense to me. Plymouth HS was a 1A power and won state titles. Seems like consolidating the high schools in that county into 1 school would have made Washington Co. HS into a mega 1A power. Very odd that they are now bad at football.
Coach Cody was at Plymouth for 34 years. He opened the inaugural season for Washington County with losses to Tarboro and Riverside and then resigned for personal reasons in August of 2018. It really felt like the Plymouth Vikings tradition left with him. It’s funny though how mergers affect the community. It may be the same school, same field, same players but there’s something about a new coat of paint that changes everything.
I thought Tarboro, NC was a safe area according to youtube videos of the town. I have been through Tarboro and enjoyed exploring the town. How safe really is Tarboro?
It's a safe town for the most part it's got nothing on Rocky Mount however. I don't believe there is a town in the country that is 100% safe.
My dad lives in Rocky Mount. Going next week for a visit. Pretty boring place. But he is close to 85 so I'll keep myself busy doing a lot of housework and cleaning in his place
Was the merger combining Plymouth HS and Creswell HS? I know Creswell pretty much always stunk at football. But as I recall, that was a tiny 1A school. So they were probably lucky they could even field a team.
Yeah it was creswell and Plymouth that merged after the class of 2018 graduated. They also didn't play football all last year so that hurt even more. I remember when Tarboro added them to the schedule in 2017 to kick off the season quite a bit of hype was around that matchup. Unfortunately they had already begun to hit rock bottom

Plymouth and Creswell merging was never gonna make a super team, at least not early on. They were at opposite ends of the spectrum as individual schools. It was like merging a 100 with a 0. You end up with a 50. Same with Williamston merging with Roanoke. Williamston had always been a team to be feared. Roanoke, not so much. As a result, it took what became Riverside a while to become solid.
I wasn't able to attend the game tonight can anybody provide a summary on how Tarboro looked? It looks like weather kind of played a factor
It was a Very sluggish game. Not a lot of energy. It could’ve been because of the weather but we didn’t look our best tonight.
Forgive me nerding on you, but you’re wrong, SWE. Roanoke merged with Bear Grass to form South Creek. Williamston merged with Jamesville to become Riverside.
I watch some of the highlights on touchdown Friday it look like the rain was coming down pretty good.
