I would not want my representative to live with those restraints. I would prefer some type "right/wrong" pledge.
People can figure out what they believe to be right and wrong themselves but the point is it's better if people do that using truthful information. We can often objectively determine what's true so that's a viable goal. But we often disagree on what is right and what is wrong. It's not realistic to have a right/wrong pledge.
