Im planning to do a good bit of traveling and tailgating this fall.

Can anyone recommend a good setup for watching other games while tailgating?

Generator specs to look for? Should I get the mobile DirecTV receiver and antenna? Should I use a Chrome and use the Watch ESPN app?

We've been doing soccer and baseball last few years so I'm a little out of practice tailgating other than the one or two games a year.

Thanks in advance

We use The Tailgate Company (which I believe posts on here). His packages come with 2 tents, some chairs, TV, and Direct TV for each game. It's about $2,000-$2,500 depending on what all bells and whistles you add on. Sounds like alot, but if you have 5 to 10 couples to divide it up, it's pretty manageable. I think our group came out to be about $300 per couple.

It's really AFTER the game that it pays off. Its worth the $ when I'm drunk, tired, and sun burned, and I can just walk off and leave that stuff there.

Thanks, as always, Strat...good info. I'm familiar with The Tailgate Co...saw all those black tents last year and it looked like a sweet setup.

My son is headed to Clemson, so I'll be splitting time between Starkville and my new favorite ACC team (that sounds awful).

Any ideas for a good traveling setup? Thanks again-

It's the tent with 90% of the people wearing cotton sweatpants and eating pork loin.

I use a Honda eu1000i generator and the Dish Tailgater system. Has worked pretty well the past 2 seasons. I pay about $60/month for the Dish service during football season only.

Many will tell you to upgrade your generator to a 2000, but I only use it for the TV, cable box, phone charging, and sometimes a crock pot. The 1000 has been fine for me.

I split time between Clemson and Starkville as well (BS at State, MS at Clemson). If you need some Clemson advice, shoot me a PM.

Thanks Brad, good info. I've got a bet with a buddy that State will play Clemson in a bowl game within the next four years. I'd love to see that happen.
