If these sanctions force the end of the Boehiem era and places the mark of Cain on this program, BB-wise ... The ACC may have just added a corpse to their league ... heck ... actually worse than a corpse since the ACC has to "feed" this corpse (Syracuse being just another mouth to feed from the ACC financial pie) ... Delany > Swofford on this conference addition (Rutgers > Syracuse)

The saving grace for the ACC and even CUSE are:
1) No future post-season sanctions (NCAA allowed CUSE to self-imposed post-season penalty, this year, when CUSE wasn't going to make the NCAA Tourn, plus, CUSE and their fans hate Greensboro, location of this year's ACC Tourn
2) NCAA allowed CUSE to delay NCAA scholarship sanctions to 2016-2017...meaning CUSE will most likely be a full strength with a top incoming recruiting class for 2015-2016.
3) ACC will have their tourn in Brooklyn in 2017...and Syracuse will be eligible to play in it (and probably scoop up a ton/majority of those tix with Duke and UNC).
4) Boeheim will utilize "surprise" walk-ons...just like Pitino does at Louisville...where some players in their last year (and not from well to do families) will suddenly be able to pay for a full year of room/tuition/board and give up their scholarship to an incoming recruit.
5) No TV penalties/sanctions...just like Penn State...which was the first thing Bill O'Brien preached at his first public appearance after the NCAA Sanctions were handed down ("all 12 Penn State games will continue to be carries on national tv"). Same thing for Cuse...as ESPN et al will feature them on a regular basis.
I don't expect Syracuse to fall to the bottom of the ACC in the coming years...as they will figure out ways to survive (i.e. especially with TV exposure, eligible for post-season play, Brooklyn ACC Tourn, "surprised" top players suddenly as walk-ons, etc...).
