So what did you guys think of Thurs games:

- Zona just threw that game away, Miller cannot win the big one.
- WVU/Zags was a slugfest and last possession for Neers just didn't go well.
- Kansas looked good and will have home game Sat nite. Mason & Jackson are goooood.
- Michigan took that horrible last shot, drive the ball & they win. Ducks get squashed Sat.

South Carolina scores 52 in MSG tonight. I'm not sore though!

Zona/Xavier: I'm not sure how they let go of that one... 8 point lead with less than 4 minutes left. Kudos to Xavier for staying tough, hitting big shots, and getting multiple stops. Also, I enjoy seeing Bill Murray going crazy rooting for his son's team.

WVU/Gonzaga: Defensive juggernauts. West Virginia's press is second to none. But, I think Gonzaga might have the best half-court defense in the country. I know Gonzaga isn't a popular pick because they play in a weak conference, but they are a legitimate threat to win it all.

Michigan/Oregon: Watch the last 5 minutes - some of the best basketball of the tournament. Michigan was in an unfortunate situation at the end because Oregon still had 2 fouls to give with less than 10 seconds. With that much leverage afforded to Oregon, they weren't going to allow Michigan to get anything off other than a long, contested shot.

Kansas/Purdue: Wow. Can't believe I picked Purdue. Kansas looked awesome and they looked poised for a trip back to the Final Four. I think a lot of people didn't pick Kansas because they've struggled mightily in the past to string a couple wins in a row in the tournament. Self has 13 straight Big XII Titles and only 2 Final Fours. I suspect they'll be in Phoenix next week.

I feel better about UNC's road which looks increasingly tough if they're going to win this whole thing. Butler, Kentucky/UCLA, Kansas/Oregon; if they win those three games, they deserve a spot in the national title game.

I could not believe the contact they were letting go in the WVU Gonzaga game, especially towards the end. Sheesh, they were clubbing each other and no whistles! Crazy! I still don't see the Zags going all the way.

I agree on UNC. If they run that gauntlet they deserve a shot in the finals. I don't see it happening though....

(cough, cough....I'm a Duke homer)

I'm actually going to root for the Zags I guess and UK for family reasons. The only teams I don't want to win is UNC obviously and Kansas beside that I really don't care

If Arizona can't make it to the final four next year, then they prolly won't ever at least not for a very long time.

Self only has 2 FF's, thought he had more. Zags have to make it now, X is good but a loss would be catastrophic for Few.

WVU last possession was certainly poor but media joking and ridiculing them is out of line. They are college kids for crying out loud. Would love to see Stew Mandel or Rovell say something to Huggy's face.

Zona had the chance to play in Arizona for the final four and they blow it. Has to be disappointing. Can't believe zaga is squeaking by each game, but I guess it is survive and advance.

Yes they are barely winning games, but it's important to note: they don't looked flustered at all. That's something I noticed about Oregon too. Oregon's body language suggests they know they are going to win, even when they are down with a few minutes left. That looseness/confidance is what the Devils had two years ago heading into the tourney.

I'm with you on UNC and KU - my two least favorite teams. But I can't cheer for UK either (unless playing those two teams).

I used to be in this boat but my kids love the tourney so have to stay positive. Although my oldest is just like me, he despises Oregon for beating us last year and wanted Mich to win so bad.

I despise Oregon because they are pure trash...the stuff that happened at the end of our game with them last year and plus they jaw at someone every time they score...did it all night last night

True points-both teams have been poised but two really bad shots have helped each team out.
Kansas has been going to another level in the second half of games. Hopefully it continues tomorrow as I can't pull for Oregon or Dillon Brooks.

I'm in a quandary. I'm in a big bracket pool for decent coin with 300 entries. I put in 6 or so brackets and picked one with a lot of upsets including (gulp) tarholes over gonzaga in the finals. Sitting in 10th place with that entry but will move up if the holes, zags and Kansas keep winning.

I think I'd rather light the money on fire and shove it up my own cornhole than to have UNC win. Ugh.

My wife says well if they win at least we will win some money.

City girls just don't get it.

If you win the cash you can always buy more Duke gear.

Are we sure a check didn't bounce?

They don't take checks. Too easy to trace. Just like us they don't want to get caught. If you ask any of the officials we paid I guarantee you everyone of them would deny it. :) OFC

Anybody noticing this year just how much refs affect the game outcomes..I mean teams that should be gone are still alive teams are gone that should still should be alive..in a one game elimination these refs become god!!!! ...I mean takes a lot of luck to win a natty now not just skill imo...then u got the committee and they're trifling ways ..I guess this is what makes it march madness though. anybody can win ..not like the NBA where the best team will win ...Guess this is a pretty pointless post too...

Wow, that Florida-Wisky ending! I was pulling for Wisconsin, but not so invested that I didn't love seeing such an amazing ending. Seth Greenberg was second-guessing Wisky's decision not to call a timeout there. I was cool with that, but their (first) mistake was not guarding the in-bounds. Did people learn nothing from Laettner and Jenkins?
