Really love the comments pertaining to the suspensions by K, Grayson, and Marquise (DBR). K's are a perfect take, especially considering the UNCheat scandal and recruiting nonsense. Loved Grayson's comments on his responsibility as a captain. And Bolden's really indicate that he has bought in, matured, and has his head where we need it to be. This is exactly what we need from Grayson and Marquese. A good sign going forward considering what we needed mentally from this team being that it is so young and the years that Grayson and Marquese had last year. Could be as important as anything else.

Was K taking a shot at UNC by doing this? Or showing the contrast between the "schools"?
I think K is beyond taking shots at other schools. I'm sure there is a valid reason other than "showing up UNC."
I think he did it because it was right thing to do and needed to be done....don't think he cares about sending those idiots down the road a message...he will do that in Feb lol
Coach K could care less on what's going on 8 miles down the road right now. I'm sure 100% of his focus is on his team.
K's existence triggers UNC fans. Doing the right thing is always taken like a shot at them by people who don't.
K did the right thing. Thats whats most important to myself as a fan. He could have chosen to keep it in-house as so many other programs do these days, or make the "academic reasons" known as he chose.
There's plenty of ANGER out there not only amongst fans, but coaches too.K's buddy Boeheim (suspended by COI)took a not so subtle shot at Roy after the UNC ruling. However, previous history suggests K would have announced academic reasons(Phil Henderson, Alaa Abdelnaby, Ricky Price), those all involved actual grades IIRC. Henderson and Ricky missed semesters I think and I recall Abdelnaby missing a big UNC game at their place in '89.
These guys were "late or skipping class," and mere human nature suggests K could have been taking a not so thinly veiled shot at UNC.(History SHOWS they didnt attend class for YEARS). K could have kept it private, especially as just one exhibition game was missed. Who could blame him if he did take a swipe at UNC??? OFC

Had this been UNC, wait a minute! lol. Think of how many banners would of been hoisted at the Nose Dome, if Roy had integrity and punished his players!
