Palmquist!!

(I don’t know who Jerry is referring to, but I’m hoping The Swede can finally put it all together).

My money is on Palmquist to be the guy that Carino is talking about.

That was my first thought but he's not really a surprise I don't think.

I don't see Dean in the photo posted, probably because of his foot, so my guess is Oskar had a good practice at the 4.
I should have added… if it’s not Simpson. Oskar seems like a nice young man, usually quick to smile, love that. I’d bet against him being the breakout guy.

I’m gonna guess Woolfolk. It could be Mag tho, in the brief clip they posted Mag was running with the starters.

What happened to Dean s foot? Just saw he was wearing a boot at football game. Hope it’s nothing serious. He’s such a nice kid and really optimistic this can be a breakout year for him !

The way he phrased it makes me think it's not a veteran so I doubt he's referring to Mag who I think is the true breakout player this season

The fact that about 7 different players are mentioned as potential breakouts in this thread bodes well for the program. There is a lot of talent on the roster.
Was just about to post this same thought. Great to think so many of our role players could have a breakout season. I’ll be rooting for Mag and Miller because of the effort they put in on D.

My guess is Miller followed by Mag. I had heard that Miller improved his game.

Palm - Ive been a HATER, would love to eat my words

Honorable mention: I keep thinking Woolfork looks the part, why would he redshirt if he can take 8 minutes at the 5

I don’t think he’s talking about one of the freshman; the term “breakout player“ is usually applied to a year over a year improvement for someone already on the team. I would go along with the posters who said Miller.
Yea, I wouldn't consider any freshman a breakout.

Mag seems to obvious to those of us on a Rutgers basketball message board in September, but probably makes sense to the general public casual fans who might not really know much about him

Mag wouldn’t be a surprise. Pikiell has been talking him up for awhile now. I would go with Chol, Wolf or Oscar? The other might be Millers offensive play. Im hoping he can drive to the hoop with confidence. He is so quick on defense and im sure he can shoot. I just think he wanted to help last season and there were better shooters on the court.

Good article too. Glad to hear Paul is being vocal, really need him and Caleb to step up this year in the leadership department with Geo and Ron gone.

Starting to feel optimistic with these reports on Chol and Mag

Starting to think that Cliff should play 32 minutes and the other 8 should be small ball style lineups with Dean or Chol in there and able to stretch the floor.
