I posted this poll on the football board and was told this in a reply :
“Ask this same questions to fans of other sports and you will get a very different response. Ask this question to people who thought they would never live long enough to see Rutgers athletics raised over $100 million to build things they have been begging for decades finally come to pass and they will give you a different response.
Ask a football fan? it will be all negative because Ash sucks at his job, and they want Hobbs to fire him already."
So will put the same poll here
do you support Hobbs or feel he's not a good AD
if you voted in any other board, please don't vote here and if you're not sure state it in a comment because it's not a voting option.

He's obviously done a good job fundraising, but he's going to live or die (most likely die) on football.

Anyway, I think he's been fine on the things I care about.

Most Football fans who voted in that board are supporting him , but around 44% of them ( right now ) are not happy with the job he's doing .
The MBB board also overwhelmingly has voted in support of Hobbs. 23 in support to 4 against.

Count me in with BeK. From afar, I don't sense a lot of charisma, but he has had success.

Ash may be (or could still turn out not to be) a mistake, but lots of folks in his position have made the same mistake at other schools, if it turns out to be one.

I'll add that our current AZ AD, last name Heeke, also lacks charisma from what I can see, but has seemed to be "ok" so far. Greg Byrne, who was here before him and left for Alabama, was perceived as a Rock Star, but did leave a certain amount of "issues" behind.
