The only thing more painful than watching MSU right now is watching my Chicago Bears on offense. They are even worse than we are if you can imagine that.

Yesterday I stepped out to chat with the wife in the yard right after kickoff. She asked what I was doing and I told her we got the opening kick again and we would be three and out and giving up field position so I had a whole quarter to wait and see if we were going to do anything. Do we lose every coin toss and have to take the kick or are we just that stupid to think it would change? Watch for this next week.

Turnovers and stupid penalties are still our worst enemies, followed by drops and blown assignments by everyone.

Shrader played well after we got some running game going. Hill woke up. This gives me a glimmer of hope for next week.

EVERYTHING else is crap. The defense is porous. DBs are constantly confused. We do not have an enforcer on defense so no one is afraid to run past the line of scrimmage.

I don't know what else I can say except next week will be the biggest game Joe has coached yet. Just thinking about Cohen in the past makes me think he will have no problem letting Joe go if we do not win and keep our bowl chances alive

I keep hoping Rutgers will save us all a big headache.
