We could not have asked more from Ben this year- his first year. Some disappointing losses but some inspired wins too. It's a scrappy Hawkeye team that doesn't quit.

We made it as far as I thought we could. We left some seeding on the table with losses to Minnesota, Penn St. and Maryland which would have led to a better 2nd round game.

That said, we have played Purdue, Michigan, Iowa St., Nebraska (twice) in very competitive games. It is basketball, anything can happen.

a par season isn’t failure by any means. but while 22 wins including one in the tourney his first season would be considered great for most coaches, ben’s good enough to do more damage. that sentiment makes you go off the rails?
