Yes, that's the problem, isn't it?

If you can only name five weaknesses, you're not really trying.

If you can name one strength, you're kidding yourself.

the sad reality...there is not one thing this team does well and they are not lunch pail at all which even bad teams can possess this endearing quality

There’s not a single thing about this group that is enjoyable to watch

people are grasping as straws trying to lift up their opinions of guys like Francis, Grant, Powers, etc

on a decent to good team you’d either not be talking about them or criticizing them for bringing the team down or in powers case not talking about him at all cause he’s probably not really read to play

Francis is wildly inconsistent and inefficient and because he can occasionally go off as most chuckers do we hope it works out and grant is a true role player on a good team

fact is hard to see more than 1 more lucky win in big 10 play

Last night before the broadcast, Rapheal Davis was basically saying RU's only hope of being competitive was to out-hustle, out-rebound, and out-defend like in the old days. But I agree this team doesn't appear to be built to win rock fights the way Pikiell's teams of the past were. We're going to have an offense like those teams, but a defense like last year's team. Not a good combination.

Jordan has Myles Mack who was a great rep for RU and solid hoops player who got stuck in a bad situation after Rice who he liked by the way and has sort of been forgotten in RU history. He was a kid you could root for. Can you say that about anyone now.

Jordan also had Sanders who necessarily wasnt the most controllable or likable but you knew on any given night he could deliver some memorable basketball.

Hill sucked as coach but there was talent there that showed at times

same for Rice.

This truly is the worst roster assembled that I can remember since that Pete Marcotte team of Wenzels in the A10..and even then you could root for that kid being an overmatched shrimp

this may be the worst roster assembled in modern day Rutgers history..worse than Littlepage?

Sadly, as much as I hate to admit it, the overall talent level on this team is the worst since I became a diehard fan... 50 years ago when RU went to the Final Four when I was in the 6th grade.

Littlepage's season 1 and 2 teams had Eric Riggins. A Rutgers Hall of Famer. Littlepage's season 3 team was comprised of all the key players who went to the big dance with Wenzel in 1988-89.

Marcotte's teammates included Charles Jones (future NBA player), Waliyy Dixon, Andrew Kolbasovsky, Jamal Phillips, Damon Santiago, and Eric Clark. That's an all-star team in comparison to the rag-tag bunch Pike consistently throws out on the court.

It can’t just be NIL. NIL would be an excuse for why we are capped as a bubble team but it’s not an excuse to be this bad. This is talent evaluation, poor recruiting/salesmanship and poor coaching.

The offense has been a known problem his entire tenure and he’s never done anything to address it (no new assistants or concepts).

This team is devoid of talent to compete in conference but come on. Don’t you remember the rosters that Eddie Jordan had? I think they had like one player that could dunk and we had a 6’6” playing center a few times. Plus the kid they were touting as an unbelievable outside shooter. Don’t remember his name. He was a D3 player at best. I believe the announcer from last game, Austin…. Played as welll. Smart guy but he had no business playing high major. It was a fing joke. I was in school with Jones, Dixon Santiago, etc. That team was AA compared with the Jordan teams. Btw: Marcotte wasn’t even the best player during Rec games at the Livingston Gym. Wenzel gave that guy a full ride out of Brookdale Community College. Guess he saw Rick DaDika in him. Not!

Seriously, the current team plays in a stacked BIG and will struggle mightily but let’s see if this team can scrape out some (1 or 2) wins against conference opponents.

it was the only the last EJ team that maybe was worse or equal to this years team. The rest were better.

Are you kidding? Jordan coached 97 games and won 29 for a winning % of .299 with 7 wins in last season.
