That was embarrassing and insulting to the players and coaches!
I agree. But it sounded awful. It wasn't scattered booing, it was loud.I’ll be honest, I used to agree with this and adhere to it. I still do for the most part, but these aren’t student athletes anymore. They are getting paid lots of money to perform. Everything has changed, for good or bad.![]()
People can do whatever they want. 90% of our guys aren’t getting a big bag. Perks and some things sure. If you want to boo like a child a bunch of 18-22 year olds have at it.I’ll be honest, I used to agree with this and adhere to it. Yes. Crazy year in the Big 10. Indiana turned into Penn St. Wisconsin turned into Indiana. Penn St. turned into Nebraska. Michigan St. turned into N'western. N'western turned into Iowa. Multiple coaches fired at mid-season or rumored to be fired. Even the weather was crazy, storm delays, well timed downpours, especially for the Hawksdespite the record and also bitching about them i am actually proud of this year's team.
so average talent wise but they have punched well above their weight easily matching teams that costed order of magnitude more
it's like we raced against ferarris with a well maintained camry
I’ve definitely given boos to the coaches before, especially certain ones that are no longer coaching here.People can do whatever they want. 90% of our guys aren’t getting a big bag. Perks and some things sure. If you want to boo like a child a bunch of 18-22 year olds have at it.
Well it worked, didn't it?...................That was embarrassing and insulting to the players and coaches!
Wasn’t directed at the players. People are sick of watching the offense look like a blind drunk toddler when it comes to throwing the football. Crazy considering it’s 2025 and the games are basically enforced and built to make things easier for the offense to move the ball. Also, some of these dudes are making more in one year than fans are over the same time it takes those dudes to graduate while also being told to pay more towards NIL, etc. That was embarrassing and insulting to the players and coaches!
All I know is anyone trying to suggest that players don't get booed, or that booing wasn't aimed at them, or that players shouldn't get booed, when they rightfully should, is.........well, I can't think of what you call it right now, but they're wrong.I don’t believe the boos were directed at the players…I think it was the coaching staff and Lester in particular.
I was not one of them.
Oh, I am not saying players don’t get booed, and people have the right to do so if they so choose. All I know is anyone trying to suggest that players don't get booed, or that booing wasn't aimed at them, or that players shouldn't get booed, when they rightfully should, is.........well, I can't think of what you call it right now, but they're wrong.
They're also possibly naive, but I don't want to split too many hairs.........
Booing is the safest and most market-tested form of public humiliation on one's mental health since before the days of the Great Pyramids.
It was unfortunate, but consider reality: The QB alone is being paid more than a million dollars to play college football, yet Iowa's offense generated virtually NOTHING for 3.5 quarters against, perhaps, the worst team in the BIG. And then the coaches are making millions, yet the Iowa offense looked miserable until the very end. Fans are supposed to applaud THAT? Not any more. That was embarrassing and insulting to the players and coaches!
Especially the coaches. Absolutely.Oh cry me a river. These are no longer student athletes. They are paid professionals and the highest paid professional was throwing knuckle balls into the ground. With the amount of money people pay to go to these games they deserve to be entertained. That was pitiful football for 3 quarters and they deserved the boos. Especially the coaches.
God awful comparison.Booing the home team is classless and bush league. Would you be booing if your kid was out there playing?
The coaches are fair game with the money they make. I think the boos are for the coaches and in those recent situations probably for KF and Lester, KF mostlyThat was embarrassing and insulting to the players and coaches!
What was the coup attempt at Michigan? were people calling for Moore to be fired?Yes. Even the weather was crazy, storm delays, well timed downpours, especially for the Hawks. Even a coup attempt by Michigan. Besides what the west coast teams say, how can you not love the new Big 10. It's chaos.

So 200 people out of 70,000 are not allowed to boo per you. Sounds reasonable.Booing the home team is classless and bush league. Would you be booing if your kid was out there playing?
If you feel that way why don’t you at least figure out how to do a name on here?It was unfortunate, but consider reality: The QB alone is being paid more than a million dollars to play college football, yet Iowa's offense generated virtually NOTHING for 3.5 quarters against, perhaps, the worst team in the BIG. You don't wanna get booed, look like a college offense. Pass the damn ball. Gain some yards. Score some points. Simple as that.
Instead of booing why not just get up and leave if what you're watching is so unpleasant for you. In fact last night quite a number did leave after the third quarter. Glad they were able to enjoy one of the great Kinnick Stadium comebacks from the comfort of their cold vehicles. It was unfortunate, but consider reality: The QB alone is being paid more than a million dollars to play college football, yet Iowa's offense generated virtually NOTHING for 3.5 quarters against, perhaps, the worst team in the BIG. Looks like the point got across then. That was embarrassing and insulting to the players and coaches!
I was booing and calling them names!!
Greatest comebacks?!? We were down ten to one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, and scored a touchdown and kicked two field goals. What a roaring comeback!Instead of booing why not just get up and leave if what you're watching is so unpleasant for you. In fact last night quite a number did leave after the third quarter. Booing doesn't accomplish anything, blackmailing the Board of Regents does though.
There’s something to your pointI’ll be honest, I used to agree with this and adhere to it. I still do for the most part, but these aren’t student athletes anymore. They are getting paid lots of money to perform. Everything has changed, for good or bad.![]()
True, and I think most of the booing is directed for KF.I’ll be honest, I used to agree with this and adhere to it. I still do for the most part, but these aren’t student athletes anymore. They are getting paid lots of money to perform. Everything has changed, for good or bad.![]()
Nobody rightfully should be booed. That's an adolescent approach if ever there was one. You're an adult at 18. Act like one. If you don't like the product, don't pay for it or watch it.All I know is anyone trying to suggest that players don't get booed, or that booing wasn't aimed at them, or that players shouldn't get booed, when they rightfully should, is.........well, I can't think of what you call it right now, but they're wrong.
