Nebraska's 2025 Recruiting Class Has More Composite 4* Recruits Than 3* For First Time In Modern Recruiting Era
105 makes a difference though in terms of attractiveness of high school recruits vs transfers. I think 105 actually makes high school recruiting more attractive again as there's a bit of room to have development guys on scholly.Of course this happens when freshmen are more meaningless than ever in the 105 portal era.
Yeah, I think people are freaking out because of the walk-on program getting cut without thinking about how we are actually adding 20 scholarship players.105 makes a difference though in terms of attractiveness of high school recruits vs transfers. The main thing I see is that redshirts are detrimental for the most part. You are basically just preserving a year and wasting a roster spot for a player to potentially transfer as soon as they get good. Should be rare for non-lineman or qbs.
That’s nice, but since joining the B1G, we have consistently had higher recruits than most teams and we still lose 2 to 1. I’ll wait to see how they are coached and developed…Nebraska's 2025 Recruiting Class Has More Composite 4* Recruits Than 3* For First Time In Modern Recruiting Era
No, with the portal and 105 coaches will be quickr to cut and players will be quicker to leave. Portal will always be busier,105 makes a difference though in terms of attractiveness of high school recruits vs transfers. Just a feeling or do you have something to back that up? Just checked Rivals records and this year they had 9 pages of 4-Star recruits. In 2002, the earliest year they provide? 9 pages of 4-Star Recruits.Don’t know this for certain, but I’m pretty sure there are more 4 star kids period these days.
Nothing whatsoever to back it up...and I'm not going to take the time to research it, but I would be interested in the numbers.Just a feeling or do you have something to back that up?
Just dug into it. Same amount of 4-stars in 2002, at least the pages of them. Too lazy to hand count. Skipped to 2010 and it was 8 pages of 4-stars vs 9 pages now.Nothing whatsoever to back it up...and I'm not going to take the time to research it, but I would be interested in the numbers.
enough for many to comment on Reddit and hereWho cares?! Look at the 2022 class. I could be Bill Gates and wouldn’t give these mofos a cent.
the extra scholarships might translate in to an extra spot or two for local kidsYeah, I think people are freaking out because of the walk-on program getting cut without thinking about how we are actually adding 20 scholarship players.

I guess I don't get it. Maybe I'm reading it wrong?!enough for many to comment on Reddit and here

Edit: Oh ****- you goofs are actually letting that fallacy determine your optimism?
I'll let you know something, and go ahead and set a calendar reminder in December of 2027.
Half these f tards are not going to be a Nebraska player in 2 years. The best 2 will stay here, 6 of the middle 10 will be gone, and the bottom half will barely make it.
Lock it in, get the tattoo, college football is borderline ruined.
That's been my position. Win now.Risk reward dichotomy has flipped with respect to redshirting players. Developing players only to have other teams (your opponents) benefit from your hard work. Of course we’ll bring in guys other coaches/teams have developed, but the incentive to redshirt has been significantly reduced. We can bring in guys other teams have developed, but let’s try not to develop players for other teams.

The data is readily available, not sure why AI can't analyze it. Here is the search I used on rivals to find the number of 4 stars.Chat GPT
Rivals.com, a prominent college football recruiting website, has been ranking high school football prospects since 2002. Over the past two decades, the number of four-star recruits has varied annually, reflecting changes in recruiting trends and the expansion of the recruiting landscape.
While specific year-by-year data for four-star recruits is not readily available, it's evident that the number has increased over time. This growth is partly due to the expansion of recruiting services and the increasing number of high school athletes participating in football.
For detailed statistics on four-star recruits by year, you may consider reaching out directly to Rivals.com or exploring their archives, as they may provide comprehensive data on recruiting classes and player ratings.
This is how we win the off-season national championship. Just like every other year.Id rather have more composite wins
The numbers are shocking. I have not seen the most recent figures but in 2022 Sports Illustrated found that a staggering 41% of transfers had either:I wonder how many kids jump into the portal without being certain of where they will land.
