I believe he had health issues at St.Johns along with discipline and transfers that made the program not meet expectations.

Just looking at his career record, he should be high on anyone's list.

Wasn't sure if there were other factors.

Fran Fraschilla's name might be added to the ex Johnnies for HC list .
He was considered before Mike Rice was hired

Just curious, how exactly did he fail at St. Johns?? He made the postseason in each of his 4 full years.

he left them with nothing this year..many questionable character recruits, fanbase didnt like him..he went to the NCAA and got canned. All the support in the world there...two NCAAs...who gets fired after making the NCAA

There must be more than than meets the eye. Two NCAAs? At Rutgers, he would be named Pope and King

He sucks. He can recruit at places where the grey area is the only area. He can't coach at all.

We need someone who can do both.

No.

Bob Wenzel brought us to two NCAA's and that guy couldn't get out of a Rutgers parking ticket.

We may suck, but we still have our standards.

Lavins best days are clearly behind him. He would be a disaster at RU.

If Lavin is the choice then I'll fight to bring Eddie back.
