A few thoughts before we move on.

1. I will support every coach at Mississippi State as long as they’re at Mississippi State. I won’t agree with everything they do. At times they will make me angry and other times they will make me proud. As long as they’re one of ours, they will have my support.

2. The internet rumors on Thursday before the Battle for the Golden Egg were downright shameful. If you spread that nonsense, then shame on you. To think we would negotiate a buyout with a coach with a season defining game to play, on gameday no less, is simply ludicrous.

3. Rather than ask me what happened, go ask those folks who lied to you. I shared then that there was nothing to it, but the fire was already raging.

4. I’m tired of arguing with our own folks. I am for Mississippi State and everyone else who is for Mississippi State. We won’t always agree, but I hope we can respect each other enough as fellow Bulldogs to put our differences aside for the good of the program and University.

5. Joe Moorhead is our football coach. To root for him to fail is to root against Mississippi State. Who needs Rebels when our own folks are doing their job for them?

6. We have had some crazy things to deal with this year. We had a mess of a QB situation in large part due to injury. We had the Tutorgate deal that cost ten of our Bulldogs eight games. They made a terrible decision, but they are still our Bulldogs.

7. Garrett Shrader is the face of our program moving forward. There is no QB competition. There is no QB controversy. My hope is that we can all unite behind him and move forward.

8. Joe Moorhead is a fine man and a fine football coach. We haven’t posted the records we hoped to in his first two seasons. My hope is we can reach greater heights next season without the issues we had this year off of the field.

9. If you think for one second that Dr. Mark Keenum and John Cohen are asleep at the wheel when it comes to football, then you don’t know either one of them very well. I can assure you they want the Bulldogs to win on every front just as bad as we all do.

10. I am a Mississippi State Bulldog. I am proud to be a Mississippi State Bulldog. When people say bad things about Mississippi State, I feel it too. It stings me. I hope it stings you too.

There are many things for us to disagree about, but we all want Mississippi State to win. We all want Mississippi State to succeed academically and athletically. Let’s all try and remember that we share those common goals when we interact with each other. Even in times of adversity, we are family.

Hail State!

Cool beans. Bring on the Championship Standard next year when we have Joe’s players**

All joking aside, I support every MSU corch. Joe seemed like a very humbled man at the end of the season. I’m glad OM quite literally *pissed away* the Golden Egg, but our team still looked like a sloppy Joe team.

I hope he he takes that energy into next season. He has A LOT to prove. He needs to have a chip on his shoulder

Hopefully the bowl game will show us what we can expect going into 2020. Go out there and look prepared, ready to go against a quality opponent and compete and I will be happy.

Personally I would have taken 5-7 and a loss to Ole Miss to have had us look competitive in the games we lost, atleast then I'd have something to look forward to going into 2020. A win over a bad Ole Miss team and a bottom tier bowl is fine but at this point I'd rather see us trending up and not again towards mediocrity.

AKA the Pres and AD are tired of getting emails.

So they sent out one of their most loyal to spread a blanket over us and tell it’s all gonna be ok! I’m shocked Steve didn’t add another number to the list encouraging all to buy his book again or at least prepare us for the sequel.

Moorhead needs to get us back to winning the sec. We had donny muffins in here for a dozen or so years and were were always winning the west. If joey two thumbs doesn't win the SEC next year, put him wit da fishes

11. You have had 12 opportunities this year to determine whether or not Joe is the man for the job. If you came away from this season with anything other than a resounding no, then you’re a fraud. Also, learn to pronounce words.

I’ve read most of the good, bad, ugly and BS rumor posts during this trying season so I’ll voice my opinion. Not pleased with Moreheads performance last year or this. Should he go or stay not my decision but one thing that was mine is the support for the players! That part has been severely over looked by almost every poster. I’m glad they beat those piss heads up north and I’m glad they get a chance at another bowl game. So congrats to all the players and thanks for your hard work through out the year.

Winning the SEC ??? When did that happen ? We haven't won the west in about 19 damn years. This is a MSU site ya know ? Not an Alabama site. You must be on the wrong page. I started reading this site to get some info but I have never seen so many uninformed flat out wrong people in my life

I have disliked Moorhead’s coaching since day one, he botched the quarterback decision this year, and I found his post game comments to be arrogant.

I don’t know why we gave him an extension after year one, and I don’t know why we’ve extended him again.

And I call BS on supporting MIssissippi State means supporting the Mississippi State coach or AD. I’ll support the players, who are actual State students and graduates and will be life long Bulldog alumni unlike Joe Moorhead.

But I don’t expect much more than Yancy-level rants from Steve. His career is the Ole Miss rivalry, of course he thinks that beating Ole Miss is enough.

QB issues were completely self-inflicted. We had a capable backup who’d beaten Kentucky and chose to play an obviously still injured Stevens in one of our winnable games.
