I have always been a big carter fan ...but other than a couple of games ...his defense just isn’t there And we don’t get enough offense from him

I really would like us to steal some minutes with yeboah at the five...especially in the second half if he isn’t in foul trouble

Myles needs to sing START me up to to Pike. Pike can’t let Jalen Smith eat Shaq Carter alive. Shaq will be singing Sacrifice by George Michael.

Wasn't Maryland the team whose first play after tipoff was to go inside and get a foul on Myles? It was them of Michigan. possibly both. Very clear intention.

Yep the idea was to avoid the early foul on Myles BUT letting that tall guy with glasses on MD get hit early with Shaq in there is bad. That is our demon right now, can’t let the other team start hot and be confident. We just need to trust our guys to play tough D those first couple possessions without fouling. Challenge Myles, it could set the tone for us

He usually wins the opening tip, Carter never does. Mite be the extra possession we need. Myles looked to regain some confidence WEdnesday night

What extra possession?

Does the team that wins the tip off get the ball to start the 2nd half?

I think you'd get an extra possession 50% of the time.

The tip gives initial possession, and sets the possession arrow. As the game progresses, the possession arrow flips with each tie up and at halftime.

If there are no tie ups during a game, then each team gets one possession (Team A at the start, Team B at the half). If there's one tie up, then the team who wins the tip gets an extra possession (Team A at the start, Team B at the tie up, Team A at the half). If there are an odd number of tie ups, the team that wins the opening tip would end up with one additional possession due to the possession arrow. If there are an even number of tie ups, then both teams would see an equal number.
