Should be a good game. Starmount tough physical team. SS has lots of athletes and can score. I give the edge to the Rams in this one.

South Stanly QB is out with broken collarbone. He was really good and did well against the Rams last year.

I hate to hear that about their QB. He's a really good player and looked forward to seeing him play.

How long has he been out? Did he get hurt last week? I hate that for the kid and the team

I have watched on NFHS the QB for South Stanly is number 1. His last play was with 7:11 up 21-0 in the 2nd Quarter. And number 3 took over at QB.

Rams offense seems to be catching their stride. I know the defensive competition hasn't been very stout but they look more settled then earlier in the year. Rams still need to rely on their defense and running game if they want to survive and advance.

Congrats to the Rams on the win and also to South Stanly on a good season.

This isn't the score I was expecting. I thought South Stanly would really be a good test.

I didn’t expect it either…..especially a shut out for sure, even with the starting Rebel Bulls QB out, but the Rams defense is for real. Mitchell better be ready! The Starmount offense has made considerable adjustments, and is not the same as it was since the loss to West Wilkes in early October. I said it then, and I’ll say it again, that loss did the Rams more good than it did negatively. Essentially putting Starmount #2 seed, and on the opposite side of the playoff bracket of Murphy. Regardless of the score tonight, the South Stanly kids are a tough bunch.

Right now we're just shocked and happy Mitchell is going to the 4th round wasn't really expecting during the regular season. I'm proud of them stepping it up in the playoffs no matter what happens next week.

I’m glad to see that these two programs will meet! Not sure that Starmount and Mitchell have ever went head to head?

The Rams and Mountaineers have met once prior to this upcoming game.

In 2013, Starmount beat Mitchell 42-7 in the first round of the 1AA state playoffs.
