NCAA hates him. I was looking forward to rooting for Bury & Bassey. WKU was up 7 with 2 minutes left in the champ game vs North Texas. Just brutal.

When, where and why does the NCAA hate Bury so much? It couldn't be more obvious. If he's anywhere remotely close to the bubble they'll leave him out and when they are forced to put him in they pair him up vs unbeatably hot Xavier, Butler, Duke or Memphis with D Rose.

What’s the proof or substance to the ncaa hating stansbury?

Mediocre team didn’t make the tourney? Water is wet.

Too many little conferences. More good teams in bigger conferences. Makes it hard to hand out many spots to the smaller schools.

That championship game encapsulates Stans coaching career. Down 17-0 at the start. WKU came back and took the lead 48-41. With 2 minutes left in the game North Texas had scored one FG in the second half! Stans goes into his stall and kills offensive flow. Even Avery Johnson doing the broadcast pointed it out. "They need to get into an offensive flow. They have lost offensive rhythm." Meo was playing the sweat/cheer role. The game went to OT but WKU came unglued with TO's and generally not knowing what to do. Pathetic. It was the 3rd straight year Stans has lost the CUSA conference championship game.

The Stansbury Stall strikes again. You'd think after all these years, he'd learn.

WKU would kick State's a$$ if they played in this tournament. Don't kid yourself... They have MUCH better talent and play much better as a team.

Even though they lost in the Championship game... That was a hell of a game...

T. Smith is no match for their big man... No way no how... He will be a Top 10-20 pick... He reminds me of a Wiley Peck & Ricky Brown clown...

We got screwed... But only 32 teams back then too... But finished 2nd in the SEC then Bob Tyler ran him off...

That NIT game against Alcorn State was UNBELIEVABLE from when their band marched in on the floor all the way up to the 2nd see deck to the final 4 minutes when we were up 10 and CHOCKED like a typical Mississippi State team in any sport...

But damn there was some major NBA talent in the floor that nite...

One of my favorite games growing up. It was SLAM PACKED with both State & Alcorn folks... One of the best atmosphere's I have ever seen... Amd I have seen alot of them...

It'd be a close game. No *** kicking either way. We beat North Texas this year while they just lost to them but we also lost to Bama three times while WKU beat them. It'd be a pretty entertaining semifinal of the NIT for MSU fans. Hope it happens.

We are on the same side of the bracket. WKU winner gets OM - LaTech winner. If we met, it would be in final 4 left. But would take 2 wins by both teams.

No they would not. That was not "a hell of a game". It was one of the ugliest games I've seen this year. A team scoring one FG in 18 minutes of clock time is not a hell of a game. Stans crapped the bed Saturday night.
