I got off my butt and looked it up. Stanford total D #61, scoring D #25

Not quite what i thought but I’d be pumped to have a top 25 scoring defense again. Especially in an offensive heavy conference like the pac -12

For those who think Nebraska can't produce...
Imagine phillips and bazata on our team. With Noah Fant
Throw in all American deluca from NDSU and maybe even a few of their other all conference players....
Then Drew Ott (would be graduated)..
Be nice to have those guys on the team.

The refs in the B1G have too much replay and apparently the PAC12 doesn't have enough...

USC should have just gotten a 1st down that was called short when the TE was tackled on top of the defender and stretched for the 1st down, but they punted on 4th and 1 and there was no replay review at all.

Nebraska only produces 2 and 3 star players that can't play in the Power 5 conferences and aren't worth a scholarship to Nebraska.

Amen!!

Only problem though... is that we wouldn't be getting Frost tomorrow if we had those players! Winking

Also, Wyoming has two Nebraska linemen, one is a two year starter as a sophomore, the second was 2nd string center as a frosh.
Get em in the program and develop.
Nebraska has talent. Still gotta go elsewhere for players too but they are here.

Honestly, I didn't realize we had even that many D1 players out there at the moment that were doing so well.

We definitely need to scout the talent in our state better and offer the right athletes.

I think Stanford just scored on 4th and goal...

Watching the replay, he was hit and twisted and landed on top of another player and stretched in for a TD...

usc always a step ahead the whole night. amazing how demoralizing not scoring a td when you're so close can be, and Stanford D lets usc go 99 the other way.

The vertical passing game is absolutely devastating in college football if you have receivers who can make plays.

Unfortunately No is given a pass and not held to the standard Riley was when it came to local kids

Want Stanford to win, but it looks that usc is the better team, again.

I know I am the only one in Pac 12 country who isn't all that impressed with David Shaw. Did you all see him go for it on the one yard line. They could have used those three points at the end of the game. Clay Helton doesn't get a lot of love but he reminds me of an "Old School" coach. He seems pretty unflappable. I was happy. I like the white horse.

Poor decision based on the result, that's for sure. 3 points would have tied the game. At thught he should have gone for the safe points, but that is what he gets paid to do.

He was feeling agressive and power football is what his team does well.

If the back side guy would have been blocked/was slower, he probably scores.

Pro too. Stretching the field is imperative to winning today's game. In the NFL, guys like Gronk are deadly at the TE position who can run a vertical route. Take the top off a defense, and they are dead.

The back side guy was not blocked on 3rd down either. I think Shaw showed no feel for the game on that series. With penalties on both team once the ball was down on USC's 5 it wasn't like it was just a 4 down series. The Trojan defense was playing tough close to the goal line. On Stanford's last TD, a pretty pass, I wondered why the Safety didn't break on the ball. The cornerback was guarding the receiver and the Safety was just roaming free not guarding anyone. He just kept running parallel to the receiver/cb instead of breaking on the ball.
