I’ll take a stab more for my own reference than anything. Hell, we aren’t even technically sure who a third of the starters will be!
Spratley vs Provo: Troy lost in SV to Provo in their last meeting in ‘23. IMO, Troy will come out hot, trying to prove last year wasn’t a fluke, set the tone and build on when he’s the best (ie, the aggressor). I think Troy either majors here or gets pinned

. No middle ground! OSU 4-0
Figs vs Knox: I don’t yet have a great feel for Richie. He will wrestle hard but I think this is low scoring. The OSU pessimist in me could envision a 4-2 loss but I won’t doubt someone of his caliber until he gives me a reason to. Dec Figs 7-0
Vega vs Consiglio: I’d pick OSU here regardless of Vega or Young. I haven’t seen the same pace out of Vega that he had at Dapper Dan but he hasn’t wrestled publicly a ton since either. Maybe his Manville and Zapeda matches are creating a recency bias. Will go Dec 10-0
Swiderski vs Valencia: It appears Aden is significantly stronger at freestyle but he’s fundamentally strong enough to stop a major here. 13-0
Robideau vs Cardenas: I’m so high on Landon but at some point I have to vary from
@chasepollard 60-0 prediction. I feel better here than I do at 133 tbh but I’ll give Stanford the nod begrudgingly. 13-3
Lockett vs Garvin: I think Dee is top 3, so by default, I think we’re better here. Garvin is savvy and I’m a little nervous Dee is going to come out too amped up. I had similar feelings about Ryder in the All Star Classic with all his family there, so what do I know. Dec 16-3
Facundo vs Norman: I haven’t seen Facundo wrestle this preseason so nothing to go on beside most everything coming out about him is positive (like top 4/finalist positive). So will go with something like 7-2. 19-3
Ryder vs Woj…: Tech 24-3
Merrill vs Byers: I hope Cody destroys this guy and gets some swagger. Gut says he looks good but just a Dec. 27-3
Doucet vs Mankowski: Konnor looks to shut the doubters up by upping the offense on someone he can. Major 31-3
Coming in, I assumed Stanford leaves w ~3 wins but I’m bullish after seeing Casey and Zack come out so hot. In order of confidence…(and I have zero confidence in this)
