Love the recent ticket bundles and student ticket promotions. Playing the long game here. It's times like these where you create lasting memories and lifelong fans. Make tickets as accessible as possible to students and set the atmosphere.

I was actually surprised at the breakdown when we played Seton Hall. Very strongly Scarlet. Maybe Schiano played a small part, if that brought in some football fans. If we can get a breakdown like that, it will be another incredibly electric game, even on a weeknight.

Last year vs Pen St, it was 90-95% Rutgers fans

This year, Pen St will bring many more fans with their students from NJ home from break.

Have you been out of the RU basketball world for a bit?

These big games have been packed scarlet for quite some time now. We could have hired Butch Jones and the RAC would have looked no different.

I have been following since Pikiell came on, so no, I have not been out for a bit. But I'm talking about Seton Hall here. Fellow in-state rival and a short drive away. Two years ago, it felt like 65-35 Scarlet. This year it felt like 90% Scarlet. Big difference between these two games.

I live on the west coast so I wasn’t there, but two years certainly didn’t seem 65-35 on TV.

Keep in mind that we also absolutely smacked them this year. They didn’t have anything to cheer.

That game was sold out long before anyone knew Schiano was returning.

No. The Palestra seats about 9000. There were about 7800 on hand for the game. So a decent crowd but not a sellout.

According to the media the game was sold out with secondary ticket prices for the corners going for $150.

The attendance figure I used came from the NBC college basketball website box score for the game. So either the Palestra has reduced its capacity from the days when RU was a regular visitor there or there were a lot of no-shows.

Maybe not exactly 65-35, but it was definitely noticeably more. It was awesome. Included a pic from my seats of this year's game. Scarlet all the way up to the 300 seats. Usually visiting fans make up those seats, if they do attend, but I guess it didn't happen as much this time around.

The ticket department did a really good job at making sure tickets stayed in RU's hands as much as possible. I think the breakdown was RU bball season ticket holders had a chance to buy extra tickets, people could buy a 4 game pack with SH included, and there was a football STH presale all before tickets went on sale to the general public. By the time they went on sale to the general public there were no more than a couple hundred tickets available to purchase.

Is RU even selling tickets for this game to the general public?I know they didn’t for the SHU game. Hobbs gets paranoid over this stuff.
